A simple blunt cut & press. I have very fine hair & she gave me the impression she is not used to working w/my hair type. She kept referring to Toya. After the 4th or 5th time she said "Toya can do that." I got the picture. Toya is the owner & who I originally wanted to do my hair. I felt obligated to schedule w/Ally b/c she had the conversation w/me when I walked n. Ally did not acknowledge me upon arrival & was late getting started. Will I go back? Maybe. But I will see Toya. The whole reason I went to this salon is b/c I'm looking for a place close to home. Back to the drawing board.

They were patient, professional, kind, and genuinely attentive to both my hair and my overall well-being. I never felt rushed or like I was an inconvenience. And my hair was CUTE! Because I wasn't feeling well, my original style didn't hold the way we expected. The ladies took care of me again, restyled my hair, and made sure I was completely reunion-ready. The salon was beautiful, welcoming, and had such a nice atmosphere. What stood out to me most, though, was the level of care and customer service. YSIS, thank you for making sure I looked good for such a special weekend and for treating me with so much kindness. I truly appreciated it. My shampoo was the most thorough I have had in a long time and the deep conditioning steam treatment was great for my hair. I walked in with puffy roots and I am leaving silky smooth. I appreciate their attention to detail. The prices are reasonable. For my length, my shampoo was $55. Then, I added on a deep conditioner and trim. I am very pleased.

BEWARE OF THIS SHOP! I wished I had read the previous reviews before patronizing this braid shop…read more Two weeks before getting my hair done at this shop, I stopped by to ask how much it would cost to do cornrows like the existing hair style I had at the time. She quoted me $150 which I was willing to pay. When I did go to get my hair done on a Sunday, the lady said I owed her $200 when she finished my hair. I was shocked! How are you going to go up in 2 weeks by 33 percent? And why was the cost not quoted before doing my hair? I did not want to argue with the lady so I gave her $180 and told her that I would never sat foot in this shop again. She got an extra $30 out of me but she lost a customer. The cornrows were not as nice as I have had done by other hair braider so that is another reason why I will not go back. There are too many African braid shops in Atlanta especially on Candler Road. I would say pass on this one!

Melissa was so kind, and gentle with my hair. She made my hair look exactly how I wanted it, while helping keep it healthy, despite it being colored before by another salon. Melissa made me feel super welcome, and it was like I've known her for years. Not to mention the receptionist, Cara, who helped quickly book an appointment. They have been super careful, and kind. I will definitely be returning, as this is my new favorite salon.
