    Yummy popcorn chicken

My husband and I recently tried Monga for the first time and I have some mixed feelings about the experience. First, we ordered in person - our mistake as it took forever to get our order of two items but we didn't think it would be that bad around 5:30 p.m. even on the weekend. We didn't realize that you could order for pick up ahead of time through Ritual or Door Dash - definitely go this route if you don't like waiting. We ordered the taiker (Okinawa seaweed) signature fried chicken and spicy popcorn chicken. Prices were reasonable for the portions in my opinion - about $24 total with tax for these two items. The popcorn chicken was seasoned well (not actually spicy but great flavour anyway!) and it was cooked perfectly. I would definitely recommend getting this for anyone who hasn't tried it. The fried chicken was a huge portion no doubt, it was cooked thoroughly and crispy but I personally wasn't sure how to feel about the seaweed flavour. Not sure what it was but I didn't love it and I probably would have enjoyed the fried chicken more had I ordered the original seasonings on it. Also, there was a huge bone in there that I wasn't expecting (based on my experience at other fried chicken places) and it was a bit of a hassle to eat around it to be honest. Overall, I'm glad we got to try some of the offerings here despite some of the cons of my experience here. I'd be open to trying some of the other flavours in the future whenever I have a craving for fried chicken.

My Love For You Is Deep... Fried --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The buzz of downtown is nowhere in Sauga. Monga Canada is popular for their authentic Taiwanese Fried Chicken and yesterday, I was invited to try out their popular eats. Their newest home is in Mississauga and, it's a paradise for all the chicken lovers. So, what all I had? - Signature spicy fried "hot chick" chicken - Chicken popcorns - Sweet potato fries - Kiwi Yogurt The 'hot chick' fried chicken was perfectly balanced with spices and crunchiness (loved the kick of Anaheim Pepper), the popcorn chicken was soft, tender and flavour was new to me (which is a good thing), the sweet potato had a lovely crunch and Kiwi Yogurt was less sweetened and was quite healthy. This was a new experience and loved devouring the Taiwanese chicken feast. Check out their menu for all the options.

I visited this place on Monday after grand opening with my partner. The shop is small, takeout only, tucked away on a small street just off of Confederation Parkway. For now there are 3 tables and some seats just outside the shop. We got there just as it was getting busy, at around 7pm. As every order is made fresh, we waited about 10 minutes to get our chicken, and as expected, it came out piping hot. Do be careful not to burn your mouth like I almost did. The chicken was wonderfully crunchy, and I was delighted at the amount of meat I could eat without picking out a bone. This might be the neatest way to eat bone-in fried chicken. However, in terms of the flavor, I'm just not a huge fan. There must be too much sugar in the seasoning or the batter. Also, the spicy chicken was nowhere near as spicy as Popeye's. While I enjoyed the novelty of a massive slab of fried chicken, I don't plan on shelling out $11 for it regularly. In conclusion, it's worth a try, but it's not my first choice for satisfying a craving for fried chicken.

The pictures say it all, cuddles and fried chicken is a VIBE !!! I've tried Taiwanese style popcorn chicken at other bbt places before but Monga takes it to a WHOLE other level. They recently opened up shop right by Square One. I got the following: - Signature spicy "hot chick" chicken - Spicy chicken tenders - Sweet potato fries - Kyoto matcha bubble tea The spicy chicken was a MASSIVE piece as you can see and weirdly enough if you look closely it was in the shape of a heart lol, does anyone else see that? Or am I just in love lolol The tenders were a good size as well, thick and crispy The sweet potato fries and bubble tea were the perfect sweeter balance to the spicy chicken! Overall we devoured our fried chicken feast, all of the chicken was tender, juicy, spicy and crispy, just the way I like it. Thank you Monga for having me, the staff was super friendly and had great suggestions :) Will be coming back again for sure to try the rest of the menu, see you soon!

Such a great spot for fried chicken!! Love the spice on it!! They say its spicy but there's no heat on it at all, its just packed with a ton of flavour. My partner and i just get the 4pc chicken and we're pretty good with that for dinner! Its only 15ish dollars for the combo and the cashier was so nice to offer us extra fries because there was 2 of us for free! Only wish they had more of a dining area in case Id like to sit down and eat there while its still fresh.

This is in my list of go-to places for Crunchy, tasty fried chicken. They add spice in the chicken which makes it different and delicious. The spice has flavour but isn't spicy, at least not by my level of tolerance. I have eaten at a Mongra outlet in the past so I knew what to expect when ordering here. The location has a few slots for street parking and today we found parking space in the evening. The shop is small and does not have indoor seating, unlike the outlet in downtown Toronto. They have kept four chairs and two tables outside the shop but it isn't much of a compensation for lack of seating. The wait can be long depending on how many people have ordered before you did. We had a couple of orders before us and it took about 20 minutes, not too long a wait in the summertime but can get difficult during winters, I presume. The staff is nice and the place is neat and clean. Their Bao is a must try too.

Taiwanese fried chicken in Mississauga yay! I think this place just recently opened up so came by today to try it. I haven't had it probably in like 5 years lol. It's a small area so not much sitting space so it's most likely a take out place unless they put our seats outside for mini patio. I ordered popcorn chicken and it's bomb. Dangerous!!

Recently came by to try their fried chicken and it did not disappoint! Their chicken is fresh, juicy and tender. Because their chicken is marinaded in honey, the chicken has hints of sweetness. Personally, I didn't like the sweetness compared to the typical Taiwanese style fried chicken. Overall, for 12$ I think this is worth a try!

The fried chicken was dry and didn't look very appealing, the customer service was very good!

My student and I witnessed a minivan plow into a concrete barrier as we were walking over to Kenzo Ramen, steps away from Chatime. We both heard a crunch and knew that it wasn't good. The minivan, a minute later, drove towards us. We saw a huge crack going down the front bumper. I parked at the back of this plaza, where there is a store that sell diapers and adult incontinence pads. There used to be a Goodwill store, but a few new businesses have taken over. Anyway, after my student, a colleague, and I had finished eating a late lunch at Kenzo Ramen last Friday, we headed over to Chatime. I had a free birthday drink waiting for me. I decided to use it towards a regular QQ lychee juice, which comes with tapioca and coconut jelly. I didn't know where to line up after placing my order. I finally figured it out when I saw the small ledge through the huge lineup. I like that you can purchase reusable straws that come with a cleaner. I want to get the purple one. Each kit goes for $5. My drink was ready. I got it, and drove my student and I back to the office. The lychee juice was great. I managed to suck a tapioca ball the wrong way and went into a coughing fit in my car. Luckily, my student knows CPR and didn't have to administer it on me. I now realize that tapioca can be hazardous to your health. Anyway, the tapioca and coconut jelly were delightful when eaten safely and properly! I don't normally visit Chatime, but will definitely go back. I finally found a drink here that I love, minus choking on the tapioca. (209)

Unfortunately, it was also very hot inside, no air conditioning to make it comfortable enough to stay to enjoy your order. The interior is starting to look a little tired, and the boxes on the floor and outdated posters don't help. Nonetheless, the staff was pretty cheery and explained some of the unfamiliar options. We went with the crispy tiramisu tea. The drink was very tasty, but there seemed to be a lot, a lot of boba taking up the container. We had to go outside of the store to get to a washroom, and a cool place to sit and enjoy our drinks. It's too bad because the aesthetic of this chain is usually much nicer and a better place to sit and finish your drinks.

I got 3 drinks: one Jasmine green tea, one classic milk Boba tea and one pineapple tea with Boba. I was not that big of a fan of the pineapple but loved the other ones. I don't like the Boba used as I find it a little too chewy and the taste isn't as good as other Boba pearls I've had. I find this one to have a bit of stronger taste. It's a small shop, but cute. There are board games available and it gives off a cozy/chill vibe. When waiting for your drink, there's a seating area near the door and even a game you can try. The timer/game gives you the chance to win a free drink on the house if you manage to get a perfect 10:00 score (I mean you manage to stop the timer on that time). Product was well packaged. Drink was not too sweet despite not having adjusted the sweetness level, which I liked. The only thing for me was the waiting time which took forever, as in more than 20 minutes to be served. It was busy and there was only 1 person working. 1 person for the entire place, to make drinks and take the orders. I can imagine how much slower it would be during peak hours. I went during non-peak hours and there was only 2 people in store sitting down, yet it took me over 20 minutes to get my drinks.
