My husband also sees Dr. Douglas (we almost never go together due to work schedules) and my husband has similar experiences. The staff here is great and the office runs efficiently. Dr. Douglas runs on time. I've never had a wait. My husband is typically a difficult stick. The phlebotomist here is awesome and always gets him on the first time. Dr. Douglas is kind and takes a real interest in you, not just as a patient but as a person. Dr. Douglas is a huge dog lover and has photos of his dogs in the exam rooms. It's a nice touch so that the office feels less sterile and more welcoming. It's also nice to get a glimpse into his hobbies/ outside interests. That way you see him not just as your doctor but as a human. Overall I highly recommend Dr. Douglas. He is a wonderful PCP. You want someone who takes the time to listen and gets to know you as a person. The location is convenient for me but even if I lived a little further away, I'd drive the extra distance for a good doctor.

One of the things I most appreciate about Dr. Douglas is how prompt he is, so if an appointment is at 2:30pm as an example, you can betcha that a few minutes later, Dr. Douglas will stroll into the consulting room. I also like that he is through, keeps up to date with the latest medical research and offers genuine, logical solutions that work best for your individual circumstances rather than whatever the latest fad is. I personally found her to be a bit pretentious the times I've gone to see her. The appointment that put me off was the appointment I showed up I believe 5-10 minutes late. I'm obviously aware it's best to show up for appointments on time, as they have a schedule to maintain, but it is not their job to remind me, not ask me why I'm late 3 separate times, by 3 different people. First it was the receptionist (a teen -- younger than me so that was off-putting) who made sure to tell me I was late while I was checking in. Then the nurse who saw me before Dr. Seth made sure to note "You know your appointment was at xyz & you're late." Yes... I know. Thank you. Then Dr. Seth herself asked me WHY I was late. Are you kidding me? I found it to be absolutely ridiculous & unprofessional. It only needs to be said once, if any at all. So please make sure you're not late, as you will get castrated. Another separate occasion was when I needed to see a specialist for knee pain (which I had seen previously before Seth). Mind you, this specialist did not need a referral from any doctor in order for me to make an appointment, but Dr. Seth insisted I come see her beforehand. Probably cause she wants her copay. Just to reconfirm my knee should be looked at again. Okay.

I recently got divorced and was supposed to be covered under my husband's insurance play until the end of June, but my husband removed me and I had no insurance and when I arrived. He said no problem, and then he told the office manager not to charge me. I needed an urgent CT scan and he called and they worked out a payment plan so I could get it done. I had my son and daughter with me and my son, who is autistic, kept saying he was hungry and Dr Burrowes asked if we had food, and got my kids and I something to eat. A week later his office called and asked me to come by and i thought it was about my CT scan, but when I arrived there was large box full of groceries, including a ham and a turkey! . I JUST STARTED COMING HERE! They don't even know me like that and made a life changing gesture! I will never go anywhere else for my healthcare! These people care about me!

I just now get a call from his office telling me that Dr. Burrowes decided to take vacation and will not be in the office on the week of my appointment. Therefore they have to reschedule mine to another date. I was already upset because I had waited 3 months to see him and now he decides to take vacation - not like he has an emergency or a family issue. Add to that that now the next available appointment is not until JULY 18TH! I don't NEED a doctor... Thank God it was just an innitial intake and wellness checkup but if this is how he/his office run their business, why do I need a doctor that I cant' see when I need him but only when he has the time??? At that time testing indicated a colonoscopy was need and prevented serious later problems.
