Teachers were great! Office hrs were short only 4 hrs a day! Need an update on state test. You do get your certificate at a low price.

This makes it hard to prove you're a student. It's virtually impossible to get discounts with a .edu address! Otherwise, it's a great school. Every time I've been to the satellite office I'm always greeted with a smile and a friendly attitude. The employees are not only very pleasant but very knowledgeable about the enrollment process and any forms that you might need to fill out and submit. There are small tables for currently enrolled students and prospective students to use in the lobby. There are computers to use to sign up for classes in the lobby and in the student services department. The lines for assistance are usually shorter at the satellite office that they are the main campus. I like that... It's a quick in and out process. If you're looking to further your education... Cabrillo college is a good community college choice and a good place to begin. I highly recommend that you use the Watsonville satellite office for enrollment if you live in that area!

The education is top notch, incredible sports program, my son loves all his teachers, his coaches, athletic director Mr Ausman has been an inspiration for Gabe. Father Marcos is super cool and kind to the kids. We will definitely miss this incredible high school years at st francis Watsonville, sad that is coming to an end as my son graduates class of 2026! We will miss everyone so much. Thank you for being the best high school in Northern California! We love st francis!

I'll start with the positives: small school,…read moresafe environment, some of the teachers and coaches (not all) are amazing and my kids love them! Negatives: no response from certain academic vice principal on multiple occasions regarding academic support or concerns. Over the years, I have to pester with multiple emails to get general questions answered and wait up to a week to get a response (or no response at all!). There is no excuse for not answering general questions to parents, especially with a student who is struggling. After submitting my initial review about lack of academic support, my daughter just informed me our vehicle and her backpack were searched and she had a metal detector on her today. She was pulled out of class for this because Claritin was sniffed out by the drug sniffing dog in our car. Seems like there is more emphasis on drug and weapons policing than academic support. They are using these random "searches" to warn these kids not to attempt bringing drugs/weapons. There was no reasonable suspicion, and it does not warrant pulling students out of class for. It is a commitment to attend there, some families and kids commute long distances and there is a graduation requirement to fulfill 80 hours of volunteering service. Families also have an annual volunteer requirement, plus the tuition expense.

I worry about MVCS. Our two sons graduated with the 2nd son having finished with his 12th grade…read moreyear less happy due to changes in staff and programming. But that was about 4 years ago. We have a young niece in MBCS but we are uncertain if MVCS will be as good as it used to be. Hopeful but uncertain. Why? Because our younger son kept in touch with friends still there and have received some unfavorable reports, especially about a two year college credit program called I think IB (?) which has been with problems. And the problems have shown up in decrease in student population. Beautiful campus. We hope reforms improve things at MVCS so we can send our niece there when she is ready for high school. As a current MVC student in 8th grade MVCS is the best option for a private and christian school…read morewith a huge campus and beautiful scenery. There is only one flaw in the community I have noticed. Some parents send their kids here because they can easily afford it not because they are christian. And most of the time it's the students that go here that don't believe in Christ not the parents. I believe the school does do its best in helping students find Christ but some students just ignore that and don't care. They poke fun at students who follow Christ and try to make them like to forget about it. Sometimes it's not that bad but I think thats its not right. Another thing is the hate towards the staff is so forced and is not right. The dean of students Mr. Radar is a truly nice person and cares that the students do good in behavior. For some reason a lot of students especially those who get in trouble hate him so much. Like it's not his fault you got in trouble it's just his job to help you get out of that situation that you were in before and how to stay in the good. Students need to grow up and respect their piers and should not hate those just because of what they do at the school. This is the best school that I have gone to in my life and will most likely stay like that. -Simon Jesse Ortiz V
