Best coffee shop on JBPHH!!…read more I visited this coffee cart a few weeks ago after seeing my friend post her iced vanilla lavender latte. I caught them parked at the empty parking lot at the corner of Vandenberg and Freedom on Hickam. I stopped by during my lunch break, less than 30 minutes before closing. Like with any new coffee shop, I opted for my baseline drink, an iced vanilla latte. The gentleman who took my order was also the barista. He shared FFC's mission, that they donate proceeds to local animal shelters. Picked up my drink, took a sip, and I was amazed at the strength of the espresso...just right! Sweet enough, not too watery, not too creamy, roasted coffee flavor was great. Their menu is simple, without all the frou-frou flavors and add-ons. Their syrups are house-made and their coffees are from a local coffee roaster! Customers of that other local coffee shop on base should run to FFC instead! Since that visit, I found out that they now do drive-thru service, and will soon add conchas from @conchas_solo8 to their lineup of baked goods beginning August 27th! I'm overdue for a repeat visit. We really enjoyed our meals. We also used their bar service and the bartender was great and made nice drinks. That being said they are only getting 3 stars because they really missed big on several things. First my only request for the bar was that I as the groom wanted to have an Old Fashioned at my wedding. They didn't bring the proper ingredients. No Old Fashioned for me. Second we requested roasted potatoes and instead got mashed potatoes. They tasted great but again not what we asked for. Third My wife needed gluten free so we had two desserts one gluten free cake and one not gluten free, they mixed them together at the end of the night so no left over cake for my wife. Fourth some random woman came into the venue to snoop prior to the wedding so a catering staff member took upon themselves to show her around and they walked in on my wife while she was changing. Fifth we were given a personalized bottle of Champagne to commemorate the event that was thrown away at the end of the night by the staff as they were cleaning. None of this was really major and certainly didn't ruin our night but left a very bad taste in our mouth about every recommending our using this company again. They did offer to buy us an anniversary cake and bottle of Champagne but we did not want freebies, we just want them to take more care when working at such a memorable event.
