Almost all the bartenders are very nice, except for one, Jupiter, one of the managers, who has a very negative and dark energy. He thought I was interested in him, but I didn't give him any indication that I was. When he realized I wasn't interested, he started treating me badly. One night, he accused me in front of customers and employees of flirting with one of the bartenders, when in reality I was just being kind and courteous as always. He never smiles and always has a very bad energy and attitude, and I honestly don't understand how someone with such bad energy could work in a place like this. He personally confided in me that he's a vampire, so if you know what I mean, I advise you to stay away from this manager and not confide in him, because it could turn into a serious problem. read more

The door is guarded by bouncers and deciders keeping track of who enters and when, but thankfully they are friendly and professional in a way that makes them more of a boon than an encumbrance. The karaoke is fun here. The crowd is competent enough to generally sound enjoyable and not so skilled that it feels like American Idol. The MC the night we visited was awesome, I really appreciate their energy. The crowd was generally friendly and songs were sung in English, German, and Spanish in the hour we were there, so that was a blast! There are two microphones, which is nice, though they're both corded, which is less nice. Sadly the bar is a very different story. Service is so slow that after waiting nearly 15 minutes we gave up. There were only 6 or 8 people in front of us but of the 5-6 bar staff, only two were making beverage for people who ordered at the bar. The others were cleaning or perhaps making drinks for the karaoke rooms. A bar that can't serve drinks in a timely manner generally merits 1 star, but given that this bar focuses on karaoke and the karaoke was quite enjoyable, 3 stars seems appropriate. read more

This place gets terribly crowded. Good, supportive crowd though. Best to get a private room when with a group here. At the main stage, we waited too long for our song to play. It would be helpful if the KDJ announced who's on deck (actually the next 2-3 singers on deck) so we can decide to keep waiting or just leave. We ended up leaving without even touching the mic. It would also be helpful if they didn't play dance intermission songs. That's just wasted time! Admittedly, this place would probably be a lot more fun if we came with a bigger group and made use of one of the private karaoke suites (the few groups that were in here when we came looked like they were having a blast!) Still, we had a nice time. We came early, so it was pretty empty. Had one cocktail, but it was good. The staff was super sweet and welcoming. This place was awesome. It's almost like several karaoke outfits under one roof with their creative take on private room singing. There are lots of separate booths named after different rockstars of yesteryear, and they almost take the shape of train cars. Each able to fit varying group sizes, our room was more than large enough for eight people to move around, sing, dance, etc... Aside from the six private booths (each named after a different dead rock star), there is a main bar area, smokers' lounge, and large stage area opened for special events: live bands, drag shows, stage karaoke and Rock Band (the video game) competitions, and so on. Although this place always has a queer-friendly vibe, Mondays are the official gay night with "Fag Bar" (including vintage erotica beamed in the lounge). 4 stars if you manage to score a private booth. Good selection of songs, and the walls of the rooms are pretty thick so you'll get enough privacy to sing your heart out. You can reserve the larger rooms (well in advance!!!) but the smaller ones are first-come. Line up before 7pm to make sure you get one. 2 stars for the main stage. If you want to sing you'll hand your song to the DJ, however they seem to have their very own agenda. It's unclear when your song will be up, if it all. You might wait for 2+ hours without being called. Frustrating. On the upside, the crowd is enthusiastic enough to even support the worst singer, and the drinks at the bar aren't that pricey (3 Euro for a beer, 6 for a long drink). This place is international, you'll get around with English better than with German. Bottom line - super fun if you get a private booth with your group of friends. If not - it's just a loud bar with a stage where more or less talented people sing their heart out in front of a drunk but fun-loving crowd. read more

I'm a bit of a karaoke nerd, so Monster Ronson's was right up my alley. A good selection of songs, plus friendly staff. I like the fact that the mixed drinks (aka highballs), while not cheap, were poured with a generous hand. Also, getting to sing the Scorpion's "Winds of Change" so close to where the Berlin wall once stood sealed the deal for me. This is a great karaoke bar! read more

Hazy memories of this karaoke spot. Not really sure how I ended up here, but I went against form and paid 5 euro cover and stood in a long line to come to this (gay?) karaoke club. I tried to bribe my way onto the main stage, but it didn't work. Some guys in our group busted in on someone else's private room and we promptly ruined their night. I think that's par for the course at this spot, as we got sloppy drunk along with everyone else in the club. Overall, good times. read more

So. Much. Fun. After being told by numerous people that we should attempt to get in to Berghain a friend and I made the hike from our Airbnb in Berlin to see what all the fuss was about. After about 15 minutes not moving in line, around 1AM we decided we needed a change and looked around for karoake bars nearby. 10 minutes later we arrived at Monster Ronson's - and what a great decision it was! As friends that often karaoke in London, we are used to having the private rooms to sing out hearts out but Madam Ronson's is on a whole different level. After a few reasonably priced drinks we went to the main area and were delighted to see a live band playing alongside karaoke hits. Our night ended on stage signing No Diggity with a bunch of random friends we met throughout the night. Although I have a horrible stage fright, I was in this place twice- once, with a bunch of drunk friends and the second time... Well, a bunch of drunk friends. This is one of the best ways to enjoy karaoke anyway in my opinion, second time we went there was a booth hopping night, besides the big main stage you can enjoy private booths (that usually cost quite a lot) so we ended up going crazy with random people, singing awesome and weird songs, I'd totally recommend taking one of the booths if you're in a group, it's a lot of fun! And if not- join the crowd at the main stage, I had a really great time, this place has good vibes and funny people all around. read more

What a relaxed karaoke bar! I LOVE this place! The first time I went there I hired a box with a bunch of friends. The box was so packed because we started out with the smallest box and friends kept showing up making the box to the funniest party I've ever been to. What I love about this place is that it's so mixed. The bartender is so sweet and helpful and alert. We got to sing with the returning costumers on stage last time. The crowd will support you and digg whatever you chose. They are so friendly! If it ever gets too loud on stage (if your ears starts ringing) you can hide in one of the booths for a wile because the noise is reduced even if you're in there with an open door. The two times I've been there, I've had so much fun it could last a lifetime. I don't even have to be drunk to go up on stage. The atmosphere is safe and nobody is nervous. Good Karaoke, horrible service. Karaoke is fine aside from text errors and some out of synch music. Booths are great, bathrooms ok. Staff is weird, snapped at us not to order any more cocktails because they take too long to make (after they handed us a menu offering cocktails). No security on Sunday (as stated after the incident), which caused our stuff to be stolen from us by a gang entering our rented booth. Staff was extremely unfriendly, did not help at all and hovered while we spoke to police, hassling us to pay while we were filing a report for our stolen bags & purses. read more

The bartenders are very nice, super cool girls, was having a great time but the guy who runs the main karaoke room is a complete douche bag. He sings constantly when no one wants to hear him and he only lets his friends sing. Total waste of 5€. We waited literally hours to sing in between songs. are you on a hen or stag party night out? are you a tranny looking for a party? are you a shower singer, or closet american idol contestant? monster ronsons caters to these three and a whole lot more. since moving from its older much smaller location, ronsons has blown up the boxes are often full, people are loud and merry, and spontaneous dance parties have been known to break out on the dancefloor to the occasional djs. owner (and gay ex mormon) ronson, always is great as the karaoke mc, and the bar staff seems to enjoy partying even more than the guests. watch out specifically for rocknroll fagbar (actually mixed) on mondays with boxhopping (you can run between boxes and sing with strangers) and liquid brunch karaoke church on sundays where you can sing on stage and give testimonials on how karaoke changed your life. last time i was there, there were some singers dressed as a nun and a priest. read more
