To be very clear, this review is my opinion and my experience only. Thankfully, I did not retain him to represent me in a divorce. Initially, I sat and began explaining why I was there. The minute I called my spouse "my spouse," he took on a totally different demeanor than during our cordial introduction. He went as far as to tell me in no uncertain terms how off-put he was that I referred to my "spouse" that way because it was cold and distant (this is not verbatim because it has been over a few years). He did not take the time to understand what would cause a person to use that verbiage about the person she was married to, and our appointment quickly ended. Had Mr. Plumlee taken the time to find out that my ex was a serial philanderer, a textbook narcissist, a serial family deserter, a verbal abuser, an absent father and husband, a nasty alcoholic, and a scammer, I would like to think that he would have responded differently. What put my ex above the rest is the fact that when my oldest daughter was diagnosed with cancer, he decided it would be a good time to jump ship (shut our business down and leave my daughter with no health coverage [she was an employee]) and move on with his life. However, Mr. Plumlee had no interest in discussing the case further, so we never got to the meat of the matter. I made sure after that encounter that I never recommended him as an attorney to who I would give my valuable time and money.

I hired attorney Fred Taylor during one of the most difficult and frightening periods of my life. I was not only fighting for my own safety and future but also for the safety and well-being of my children as we tried to leave a deeply abusive situation. I sought his guidance, advocacy, and protection at a time when I urgently needed all three. Instead, I encountered a level of indifference and unprofessionalism that left me feeling alone when support mattered most. At a point when every decision carried serious consequences for my family, I did not feel heard, nor did I feel that my children's best interests were being meaningfully considered. The legal process was already overwhelming and never bring in tbis type of a situation very naïve, but having an attorney who seemed disengaged and unwilling to advocate for us made an already painful situation even more difficult. I often felt as though I was navigating the process on my own, despite having retained legal representation. My children and I have lived with the consequences of that outcome for years. Through our own resilience, perseverance, and healing, we have built a better life. We are doing well today, but that is the result of our own efforts, not the support we received during that time. An attorney has a responsibility to stand with their clients during the moments that matter most. When someone's safety, future, and family are at stake, they deserve committed, attentive advocacy. That was not my experience. I cannot recommend this attorney to anyone facing a high-conflict divorce or custody case where strong advocacy, professionalism, and genuine concern for a family's well-being are essential. I am disappointed in the way my case was handled, was it resolved, yes, but I had cross warrants on…read morethe party that was charging me which made it easy in court and for this firm to speak to the other attorney about cross dropping the charges. Somehow 45 minutes in court to cross drop charges and very minimal paper work filed is worth $2,400. I think not. I have requested a portion of that fee back ($5-700) and they refused to compensate. I would fully expect to have paid the entire $2,400 if it went to a real trial and I didnt bring cross warrants to the tabel for this firm to use on my own behalf. With having thoes cross warrants we would have been in a trial lasting over an hour on each charge. Myself having cross warrants saved your attorneys time, which should save me money for saving your time in the court room. I would not recommend this law firm to anyone with a simple case like mine unless you want to be ripped off.
