It was only after initiating an internet chat that I finally received a call. Despite having a straightforward estate, I was informed that they require a $395.00 "consultation fee" just to speak with them. After contacting several other reputable firms in the area, I found that others offer a 30-minute consultation for free to discuss estate services and planning. Charging nearly $400 just to walk through the door is unnecessary and, in my opinion, reflects a firm more interested in their bottom line than in the community they serve. Save yourself the time and the money--there are plenty of other qualified firms in Hampton Roads that treat potential clients with respect.
