I really like the shrimp bowl. I added cucumber and it was great. Only thing about their salads is that you have to ask for extra dressing. Every time the salads are dry. Everyone I've talked to about this restaurant agrees with that. Great service when I've gone and I like their caipiroskas. Amo este lugar!

I always get the frutaria less sugar option which is perfect sweetness for me. The options for additions are great. The only downside is the price, pretty expensive for açaí in Brazil. Coconut water and plethora of juice options. They also have a menu with food, although I have never tried any of it to comment.

Here is the breakdown: FOOD Love their açaí bowls and the add-on option to different fruits and condiments-- you customize to your taste buds and I definitely enjoy that. SERVICE Biggest opportunity here. I understand it is usually busy however, no need to be rude. The service is very slow and the waiters it is basically just trying to get through all the orders. No special attention, very slow service and no friendly customer service. DECOR/ AMBIANCE Very casual environment and enjoy the open space to it. OVERALL I tend to go here more for the convenience of location. That's pretty much it. Service needs some work and there isn't that wow factor of you must go because the açaí bowls are amazing. They are good but not excepcional.

Their fresh sucos (as ever, my strong suggestion is that you try the abacaxi) are an excellent way to start the day and you can't beat the people watching both inside the restaurant and outside on Rua Oscar Freire. Like many establishments in this area, Santo Grão offers valet parking if you want to ditch your car hassle free. Me? I prefer walking there! Santo Grão is definitely a player on the brunch scene in São Paulo and its relaxed atmosphere makes you want to stay and chat long after you've nibbled your last bite of omelette.

However, please note, the amount of time we had to wait for our food to arrive was excessively long. I'm well aware as an American, we expect our food and service to be expedited way more than it should be. I am well versed in traveling overseas and am well understanding of how other countries operate when it comes to service (a lot slower than America), and I'm okay with that. However, even with being used to and cognizant of the slower atmosphere, this particular place was a lot slower than the "norm". Just something to be mindful of. But overall, everything else was great and the food was delicious, which is why I'm still giving it 5 stars.
