The store always looks clean and tidy and it is usually easy to get around the whole store pretty easily unlike some of the other branches which sometimes feel cramped. It is situated in the Swansgate shopping centre where there is free parking, and it is near to one of the centre entrances so the access is quick if you come into the centre from the street as opposed to through the carpark. The staff are helpful and can put things aside if you want to collect them later. If you like a store that there is plenty of room to browse and offers fashion at really good prices, then try this branch of Select.

They stocked items which were more suited to general fitness or non regulation wear. I also found that most of what they sold was more geared towards very young children or adults, with nothing inbetween, however if that is that you are looking for then they are competitively priced and stock a reasonable range. This shop is not easy to find as it's not in Bedford town centre and I doubt many people would be able to tell you where it was! It's probably worth calling the shop before setting off to find out if they stock what you want.

The shop looks like it will be expensive as it has an expensive look to it, but really the clothes are not too dear at all. They are a bit more expensive than places like New Look, but on the whole I think the clothes are good quality and affordable. The store has a really nice layout to it and the clothes are often displayed in a colour coded fashion so if you are looking for a red top, all the red tops would be in one place. It gives the store a great look to it and is easy for customers to find what they are looking for. There are plenty of changing rooms and the staff are helpful in this store too.

The store is really funky too and spotlessly clean and tidy. I went there recently for some new shoes for my daughter and the service was fantastic. The man in there spent quite a long time with us making sure we got the correct fitting shoe and the right style of shoe we wanted. I didn't feel pushed into buying anything and I believe he had no intention of selling us a shoe that wasn't just right for my daughter- What a change to the usual shoe shop palaver!

I like their stylish stripey tops and fitted polo shirts and love their wellie bobs (perfect for dog walking). I did have a problem with my first pair of wellibobs (like cut off wellies / jodpur boots for those who are wondering what on earth they are!), were they began to let in water after about 9 months of lightish wear. The store is also set out really well, with plenty of room to get about, unlike the old store where I just couldn't get my pram around! It also seems really clean, tidy and well lit. There are loads of changing rooms that are all really clean too. The staff also seem very friendly and helpful.
