He identified the problem as a manufacturer's defect, took photos for proof, then suggested I contact Apple to see if they would cover the $700 repair, which they did, even though it was well out of warranty. The part arrived the next day and Gordon had my laptop repaired in two hours. I've shopped around Bozeman for Apple service, and Gordon is the only one I would trust with my Apple devices.
