I'm not typically someone who writes negative reviews, but as a bride, having a great DJ was one of…read morethe most important parts of our wedding. We initially chose Mr. DJ because Tyler came across as kind, genuine, knowledgeable, and very experienced. During our planning meetings, he had great ideas and repeatedly told us that he wasn't just there to play music--he would also check in on us throughout the day to make sure we had everything we needed. Unfortunately, our experience on our wedding day was very different from what we discussed. One of the first things that made me uncomfortable happened while my bridesmaids and I were getting ready. Tyler walked directly into the bridal suite without knocking while several of us were in the middle of getting dressed. The girls had to ask him to leave because we were not fully dressed. Had he knocked and asked to speak with me or my maid of honor, that would have been completely understandable. Walking in unannounced during such a private moment was inappropriate and made everyone uncomfortable. During our meetings, Tyler also mentioned that he likes to take photos for couples so they have a few pictures to enjoy right away. I appreciated the thought, but throughout the wedding it often felt like photography became more of a priority than being our DJ. During our cocktail hour, while our professional photographer was taking our portraits, Tyler came outside and began taking pictures as well. We had hired a photographer for that purpose, and I expected our DJ's primary focus to be managing the music and keeping the event running smoothly. While I understand that a playlist can continue playing, it felt like his attention was divided throughout the evening. During dinner, the same song played six times in a row, which unfortunately went unnoticed. I was also disappointed to hear from family members that Tyler made inappropriate comments while taking photos. I was told he took photos of my brother-in-law, who has a disability, and mocked his disability. I sincerely hope this was misunderstood, but if true, it is incredibly disrespectful. I was also told he commented on a photo of my maid of honor by saying it was a good picture of her butt. Comments like that are unprofessional and completely inappropriate at a wedding. Before the wedding, I spent a great deal of time creating a detailed playlist. I highlighted several songs that were especially meaningful to us and asked that those be prioritized if there wasn't enough time to play everything. One of those songs was a special request from my dad. When my maid of honor politely reminded Tyler about those highlighted songs, she was told he couldn't get through every song and seemed frustrated by the request. She explained that we understood not every song would fit, but asked that the highlighted songs be played because they were important. The song was eventually played, but only after hesitation. When I asked my maid of honor to help communicate with the DJ throughout the evening, she also felt that he was dismissive and unwilling to accept requests. In addition, a song that was never included on our playlist--"Shake That Butt"--was played during our reception. That is not music we would have chosen for our wedding. Overall, we left feeling disappointed. Tyler is personable, knowledgeable, and clearly has years of experience, which is why this experience was so surprising. Unfortunately, the professionalism, communication, and attention to our wishes did not match what we discussed leading up to our wedding. I truly wanted to leave a glowing review, but I also believe it's important to honestly share our experience so future couples know what ours was like

Tyler was the DJ for my wedding. We pre-paid for the highest package which included him filming…read morethe ceremony and reception as well as playing music. He was difficult to contact and work with leading up to the reception. However, on the actual wedding day, he was a good DJ and seemed to make a great video... Unfortunately, several months later my wife and I are still waiting for the video. He has resumed his poor and unprofessional service and has not responded to my wife or mine attempts at communication via phone, email or texts. I would recommend a different DJ service for your wedding. Tyler's terrible professionalism far outweighs his good performance at the wedding reception. Based on other reviews, I am not the only one who has had this problem.
