We were seated immediately but the waitress was inattentive to us. It took way to long for everything. When the food finally did arrive it was below standard. One of us had the country fired chicken. For $21 there was a half a chicken breast coated with flour and suace to make it appear substantial, She got mashed instead of fries that she ordered. The chicken was turning over in it's grave from the way it was treated. Way overcooked and near inedible. They brought another piece (I think it was the 2nd piece they forgot the first time). It suffered the same fate as thei first piece. I ordered the rib and wing combo. I had to wait for the cornbread. The ribs were overdone and chewy. I ate about half the rack and needed a second drink to wash it down. The rest was just very mid. Do not go to this location. I will never set foot inside a Montana's again. read more

My girlfriend and I ordered takeout, went in to pick it up and asked if the cutlery was in the bag. The lady said "they should be" she then went to the back, came back and said "ohh I'm so sorry we ran out". Whatever, we then asked if we could have a little container so our dog could have a drink in the car and she said sorry we don't have any containers. What kind of restaurant doesn't have cutlery or containers? Not to mention the sauce less burger. 2nd time in a row with service like this. read more

My husband ordered ribs, He couldn't even cut them. Sent them back and she brought another order of ribs. They too were terrible. When she brought the check he showed her the ribs. She said they smoke them. There is no way they are smoked at the restaurant. We spent $100 and in my opinion we should not have been charged for the ribs. The place was clean and there was a ton of tvs around the place. The food was pretty much as good as a pre-fab, franchise meal gets, so that's how I rate franchises. Service was a little slow and slightly inattentive, but overall no memorable gaffs or glory. Wife and I both had rib/wing combos - wings were dusted with cornmeal, never had that before and it was a pleasant surprise. After 15 minutes texted again, this time got a reply "they would let the kitchen know I had arrived, about 20 minutes later got a message later was told they'd be right out. I have found that the service and food have gone downhill over the last couple of months. We went last Sunday for dinner, my burger was over done, everyone's fries were over cooked or pre cooked and re-fried. My ice tea was watered down. The food was slow to come. Last year it was the total opposite experience. You need to fix this or you will be loosing customers. read more

We went for a colleagues luncheon as she was leaving our department for another. It seemed that pretty much everyone had the same thing to eat; the lunch trio special that is offered. Basically, it is a half sandwich (pulled pork), or a half wrap (chicken) served with a salad and soup for $9.99. It is an excellent sized portion for lunch, just enough to satisfy you until dinner time. The meal was tasty, at the time I ate it (I chose the pulled pork), but I ended up tasting it all day which is not a good thing if you know what I mean. As for the service, it was good. The waitress came around regularly to ask how everything was and always offered to top up our drinks. If you're looking for an inexpensive sit-down lunch, I would recommend the trio at Montana's. read more

me and my daughter waited 10minutes just to give ourselves a table to sit at since it doesnt appear to have any staff working. first time I go there and will nit be going back !! once sat at our table bartender seen us and still not even a welcome or hello , no waitress came to serve us drinks, so we left and went to a better service restaurant. We ordered water with our meal. People came in after us they got their drinks so we waited the waitress never came back to our table. When she brought our steaks, still no water, I asked for their house steak sauce and she told me to use the other sauces that were on the table when I know they have the other steak sauce, my food wasn't even hot. So finally we had to ask for our drinks again. I'd understand if they were really busy but there was hardly anybody in there. It's been a few times we get bad service at Montana's in North Bay so needless to say we'll continue going to Sudbury to eat there. read more

I usually like Montana's, it's a typical chain and the menu is the same everywhere you go. This Montana's however, is terrible. I've gone here three times since moving to North Bay and every time my order has taken so long that I only get my meal by the time everyone else has finished eating, and the last two times when I finally got food it wasn't what I ordered. Awe full..Had reservations for 20 people, for 5-5:30 on a Saturday..Place was empty..Got there syrup spilled under the table and on chair..Took about 10 minutes before someone came to clean it up, waitress came to the table introduced herself then came back around 5:30 to take our drink orders..Meals came out @ 6:30..cold and burnt, had our poor grandchildren there and they were starving, and during all this 4 staff members standing there chatting..NEVER AGAIN.... read more

Manager was asked to come see us at table. Never showed. We came to eat the restaurant was pretty well empty with a few seats taken. We had 4 adults 3 children and a 1year old. We were told 15 mins for a table. Again the restaurant had very few customers. 30 people came in after us and were seated and received their food while we were still waiting for a table. Over an hour waiting with infant and children. Finally seen the specific table we "had" to have empty but full off dirty dishes. No one went to clear it off. So we went and sat. A waitress walked by and said oh I'll get that taken care of. No one came. My husband had to go to the bar to get a glass of water as no one came to serve us. Same waitress walked by him and said oh my no one served you yet? He said no. And no one cleared the table either. After 20more mins they brought a tray of water. Then took drink orders. And walked away. The entire table was sitting for 20mins and was ready to order. She walked away. Finally got orders in and it took another 20mins for the apps to come to the table. This is now 1 hour and 40mins since we arrived. The kitchen had no chicken and no ribs. So My husband ordered fish. By the time he got it and cut into it the inside was cold and not cooked!! The kitchen served undercooked fish!! Disgusting. Asked for a manager and they did not bother to come to the table and address the issues. So first off, making an infant and 2 other children wait for over an hour to sit when your restaurant was not anywhere near occupied is poor customer service and absolutely stunning. Secondly, serving undercooked fish to a paying customer is just disgusting and you're going to kill someone that way. Then to have your manager just simply NOT go to the table where customers are requesting a manager is cowardly. You want to be a manager you own up and be a manager. If I had served that fish to my children they would be in hospital. Completely unacceptable!! read more

I've now been to this location of Montana's twice, and both times I had an excellent experience. The food was well made and flavourful, the service was attentive without being overly aggressive, and even the music was at just the right volume, so you could hear it without it interfering with conversation. Because they've avoided going completely open concept with high ceilings, the noise level was totally manageable. Even when it was very busy, we never felt like we had to yell over the din of other guests. We will be back. read more
