Maverik convenience stores and gas stations are all over but they really are my favorite places to stop. They are generally clean and offer a lot of drinks, snacks and gas for those on the road especially in low populated areas. This is a more populated area due to the casinos. The African American young man who works here is super friendly so check out with him! People make Maverik successful and he is one that contributes to their good reputation. As women traveling we did not feel safe. Similar to other peoples reviews, the gas available was only premium gas. The building was run down, old and dirty. No one greeted or smiled at us. The fuel pumps are angled diagonally, making it easy to pull in and out without feeling like you're competing in an obstacle course. Love, love, love this! We've had more than our share of white-knuckle gas station visits, trying to squeeze our motorhome through layouts clearly designed for compact cars. Whoever planned this place deserves a raise. It's amazing how much less stressful fueling can be when the design actually makes sense.

They had shirts, chargers, pretty much anything you need and plenty of pumps, including a section just for trucks to the rear and the back lot was full of truckers parked for overnight so despite the bad reviews, it seems like plenty of people come here. This is my second time here in Wendover and I have had no issues so I will definitely stop here again.

I went inside to use the credit card and a paper cut on my thumb started bleeding. The cashier quickly got a tissue to help me stop the bleeding and clean it up. I went in to the outside bathrooms. A worker was pressure washing the the asphalt... I haven't seen that ever done at any gas station... The bathroom inside had the floors waxed and everything was stocked from the toilet paper to the soaps to the paper towels. The gas islands had paper towels and newer squeegee brushes to wipe the windows with long handles to cover wide SUV windshields. This is a 5 star gas station.

Warning! Do not buy gas from this place! I tried buying gas and none of their pumps were working…read moreright and after the third try or gas pump, I left this station (and all was well at that another local gas station--no problem)! The last try, the pump started at .11 and went to .55 and then shut off. I could not restart or add anymore gas. They are shady! They park their own personal car at one of the pumps to make it look like there are customers at the station.

It's…read moreapparently known now as "Ernie's Truck Plaza", though there is no noticeable sign outside proclaiming this. I stop in here almost every night for coffee on my Reno/Salt Lake City run. I generally get my coffee free if I'm buying something else as well. Folks are friendly here and I can easily wile away time just hanging out and talking. Lotsa trucker health food (chips, candy, soda pop, fried goodies, baked goods, etc). Coffee is good, especially the super caffeine stuff. Flavored creamers. There's a good sized casino attached, and also a restaurant. I've tried neither. I don't gamble, and I bring all my own food. I've heard the food is good in the cafe but I personally don't know. Auto gas pumps out front while the fuel islands for 'big trucks' is along the side (going past the CB radio shop).
