But once you start heading onto the path, you discover that there is more to this place than you see from the parking lot. If you want to get right next to some small waterfalls, like touch them with your fingers, this is the place to visit. The waterfalls are smaller, but I liked that we could get up close to the water and experience it in a tactile way. Being right up in the water's business allowed for some really great photos, too -- the waterfall area is a great place to take photos. The hike through Indiana Run Falls is very easy, but there are some areas that require walking up and down steps, so it might not be the easiest hike for someone in a wheelchair or pushing a stroller. Otherwise, this is a great place to visit, and it's a good hike for kids because it's very short and sweet.

We wanted to see this awesome statue, because Dublin has lots of amazing public art, and Leatherlips is one of them. But there is so much more to Scioto Park. This is one of the main public parks in Dublin, and it's the site of outdoor concerts in the summer and sledding in the winter. There are also nature trails, a playground, picnic shelters, lots of grassy areas, and places on the trail where you can view the Scioto River, which runs through the park. We also stumbled upon a cute statue diorama of a turtle and a beaver. My kids are obsessed (literally obsessed) with beavers, so when we accidentally came across a beaver statue hidden in the brush, they lost their little minds. Nearby is a solar picnic pavilion that generates solar power and offers great shade and picnic tables to take a break from all of the fun. There's a large pond near the parking lot, a memorial located behind the municipal buildings and police department, and winding paved paths that take you around to all of the sights and sounds of the park. The parking lot is good sized and offers some EV charging stations.

Putting rocks to step on to keep out of water is not a good idea as there are a lot of seniors who visit this park and if you continue this habit you will probably be paying for some broken bones. who ever thought that was a good idea. This is a really nice park along the Scioto River. It is listed on both the Dublin and Columbus…read morePark websites, so there was initially a little bit of confusion, but we had success with following the Dublin one (Dublin lists it as Kiwanis Riverway Park at 6245 Riverside Dr, while the Columbus site has it as Riverway Kiwanis Park at 6345 Riverside Dr - the signage we found onsite matched the Dublin listing). The land is owned by Columbus, but the park is maintained by Dublin. To access the park, you pull into an area that also leads down into an office complex. There is a small parking area directly across from the marked trailhead. The trail itself is a combination of paved and boardwalk, although there are also some worn down dirt areas that get you closer to the river. If you enter through this signed trailhead area, you will find a fork in the road. The one to the right takes you on a paved walking trail that ends with a staircase that takes you back up to the street level. The fork to the left takes you towards the boardwalk area, which has a number of little streams and a nice little forested area. There is a ton of waterfowl and birds throughout, and a lot of interesting plants and trees to enjoy, as well. The noise of the animals and river helps provide a calming atmosphere, despite the proximity to the roads. This is well worth a visit!

The answer to this is being patient. Drive down and find the 'lower' parking lot, jump out and wander under the freeway overpass and that's when you go... 'holy cow, this is gorgeous!!' The lake is so pretty, the paths are well marked. This would be a go to spot during the fall color changes as the reflections off the lake would be pretty much what dreams are made of. Lots of space on walkway that goes all the way around the lake so you never feel crowded. Shows like 1.3miles but I'd guess closer to 2.0 miles but it's all pretty much flat and groomed. If you're ever in this area, plan a good walk with your significant other, put your phone in your pocket, hold their hands and just talk about how amazing your life is with them in it. I still enjoyed myself and took two loops around the curvy trail with very slight inclines and declines. There's a large play area for kids and a caboose set up on rails. The main playground by the shelter and the service building is big, with multiple areas, and is accessible for almost anyone- stairs on several sides, and a level access off to the right. There's a music machine, always popular. Lots of climbing stuff and slides. Some games. Musical areas, mazes, balancing stuff, and more. Shades on the top of most of it, though the slides can get hot. Also plenty of benches, though no shade for those. Dublin has a lot of good parks. This is right up there. Worth a detour if you have kids.

The flow of the falls will fluctuate a good bit, depending on the season or rainfall. When the water levels are low, there's not going to be much to see. But after a rain or snow melt, this waterfall becomes pretty impressive! The boardwalk can become slick in shaded areas. Keep in mind that you're directly behind people's homes & yards, so be respectful of the shared space.
