I sure wish I had read these reviews before going there! Live and learn. The reviews here sound exactly like what happened to me. Yes, they took me off my meds of 14 yrs. Cold turkey. I was sick, my own primary DR. told me they could have been in trouble for that if I had got any sicker. I started with Gina who was great. Then she moved and I got this child, Kendal, who apparently is trying to act like a big shot, she's a joke. And she is a liar. They must not want any patients, they way they treat them. Unprofessional "doctors"; are incapable of accurately diagnosing. Don't waste your time or money.

I appointment with Stephanie. And today I almost missed my second one. I was having a hard time signing into my computer and trying to call the office at the same time to let Stephanie know. I guess the receptionist Stephanie and when I called back, they said I was dropped as a patient for a high balance and missed appointments. I miss one appointment and a half a one. . I was told by the receptionist that I was supposed to tell them every month to charge my credit card for my balance. Even though I spoke to their billing coordinator and gave it to her and said use it every month for my bill. The receptionist won't get the information back to Stephanie. Idea what the balance is actually. I think what they've done is really horribly cruel. read more

THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT MONEY! Find another provider As a patient, your mental health is not of concern. I was seeing Dr Montes and he never seemed concerned about my issues. He would interrupt me often, always pushed me out the door immediately. He did not pay attention to my concerns while with him.He would prescribe a medication and send me on my way. He never returns phone calls.There is a fee for them to refill a prescription, which I find appalling!. There is a fee for every tiny thing. What kind of provider does that?!?! Eventually Dr Montes passed me on to a new counselor in the office (Miguel)He told me about his life and his problems and didn't listen to mine.He would fall asleep during our sessions. He eventually told me he couldn't help me and I would need a new provider and offered no explanation. Office staff are rude and treat you as if you're contagious. I have witnessed inappropriate interactions between staff. This is not a place that is at all concerned with your mental health. If anything, they make it worse. read more

Listen to these bad reviews. Don't "give it a shot" and hope for the best. They don't have your best interest at heart. They only care about money. Monte's reads his patients file before there appointment so it looks like he "remembers them". When patients are late or don't show up he calls them "pieces of junk". You will pay $5 to refill your stimulants every month. If you dont have a scheduled appointment, they will not refill them. They won't tell you that either. They will keep denying the request from the pharmacy and expect you to figure it out and call the office. If you are more than 7 minutes late, you have to pay a $50 fee. Whether your excuse is valid or not. A man who had to take multiple buses to get there, was 9 minutes late. They sent him away. Wanna make another appointment? You can't until that fee is paid. What happens if you run out of meds? They tell you to go to the emergency room. They won't give you any more until the fee is paid and an appointment is set. They don't care how this affects the patients. Even if the other staff wanted to help you, Dr. Monte's doesn't care. He is the one who sets these rules. They have agreements with other therapists around town so that they refer you to his office. They send patients to the therapists in exchange. It's not because Monte's is "so great", it's a business exchange. The medicine they prescribe is extremely expensive, often takes months to approve, and is brand new. Drug reps constantly come in to the office with coffees and treats and lunches to get Dr. Monte's to prescribe them. He wants the treats, so you get the drugs. A new nurse started and she was told "if you don't know, just put them on Prozac". Please, if you care at all about your mental health, do not go here! read more

I was seen by Dr. Montes during Covid. I paid the $50.00. I received a video appointment at my home. The video showed my shoulders neck and head. Dr. Montes asked me several inappropriate questions. He told me I looked good! One of the questions, " he asked if had orgasms"! Don't trust your children or family members to him. I'm working with a great counselor who has inspired me to not accept others inappropriate behaviors. My counselor is helping me to file charges. If you have children who see this counselor, please prep them, inappropriate questions are not accepted. Let your children know what sexual assault is! Don't go here! You have to pay $50.00 to supposedly "secure" an appointment. . . even tho my copay is only $30! Then, because he doesn't actually see anyone except via skype or zoom (whatever!), the techonology wasn't working property but I still got dinged for the $50!!. So then I rescheduled with Gina, but they're so difficult to find, I was late so once again I was denied to see her & I got screwed out of money & once again didn't see anyone!! Awful care. They hold your psych meds hostage/refuse to refill , take u off meds cold Turkey, if you can't get bloodwork done at exactly the time they want. So extremely dangerous to do this! Very rude very unprofessional! read more

This office basically scammed me out my initial deposit of $50, which they required to set an appointment. They only offered me the option of a telehealth appointment and did not share a link to the interface until after the start of my appointment time. The interface was awful and I could not connect from home, and I called the office immediately to try to get tech support. They told me I would have to reschedule but had no available appointment times that would work for me. I told them I would like my deposit refunded because I would rather see a provider in person. They were VERY rude and refused to issue the refund stating that I missed the appointment. I am irate. I would warn others to not agree to a deposit for telehealth because the system is faulty. read more

This place is a joke. Staff was rude, I was the last appointment of the day and clearly being rushed. I was referred for an adult ADHD evaluation. The eval was just an academic test, which isn't even considered to be accurate for adult diagnosis anymore. I made sure they had mine and my doctors information before leaving. After a week I called to ask about my result and they told me it takes 2-3 weeks. After a month I called again. Turns out they had been ready since 8 days after my evaluation but no one bothered to tell me or my doctor. The suggestions in the report are all things I have already tried which they would have known had they bothered to ask a single question about my history. read more

I've seen Dr Montes for 2.5 yrs. When he switched from Mather's clinic to his own private practice his staff assured me that he would continue being covered under my insurance. I never got a bill in 2021 and called multiple times asking if I owed anything. I was assured that I did not owe anything. I then received a bill in March of 2022 stating my insurance company does not cover him. His office staff became very argumentative when I called to try and understand what was going on. Brittney again told me I was covered and blamed me for the slow response from my insurance company. I reached out to Dr Montes who stated he didn't want to intervene with insurance matters and that ultimately it was my problem. He took no ownership of what his staff had been communicating to me for over a year. I was really disappointed in his response since he is the owner of his own business. I was discharged and told I had 30 days to find a new doctor. Ultimately I left feeling that his practice is about the money and not the patient. read more
