The 1850 courthouse is the obvious anchor, rising up in full Green Revival style and giving the square a strong historic center. Around it, you'll find a fountain with a water display, a statue of Abraham Lincoln, and a massive Civil War era cannon labeled as a trophy of the war for the union, all of which add a little extra texture to the space even when nothing is going on. The square itself is clean and open, with plenty of room to walk around and take in the details without feeling rushed. As a quick stop to appreciate some local history and architecture, it's a solid visit, especially when the holiday quiet gives you the whole place to yourself. Spend a moment thinking about the plaque in front of the courthouse, "Remember the promises you made in the attic" that commemorates the Great Dayton Flood of March 25, 1913. The logs from those huge old trees still hold up this 2-story building. Once you step inside you'll feel as if you've gone back in time. It's definitely worth your while to stop in a few times every summer to see the new exhibits and attend seasonal events. Admission is only $2, however, the museum accepts larger donations also!

My one complaint is that the events are so popular that you have to watch the website and sign up immediately when something comes up that you are interested in. There is a food box outside the library. Inside, snacks are always available for the young ones. I use the website to request books that aren't available in house and the process is smooth. The checkout and book return is up-to-date and easy to use. The library staff is helpful and friendly. I love the large magazine section. A lot of libraries I have been to in the past have stopped having magazines available. I'm old school and love to hold and read a magazine. There is ample comfortable seating.

As soon as I payed my retainer fee, Mr mulligan conveniently disappeared for the next 3 weeks on "vacation." Little to no communication between his secretaries and myself. Whenever I had a question I could never reach him. Was supposed to receive a call from him personally, never happened. I had a hearing at 2 pm, I show up at 2. I wait in the courtroom for 30 minutes or so. The clerk of court comes in and says my lawyer asked for a continuance at 930 that morning. It was granted at 1130 am. I call them and they said there was someone there at the court. The court said that was false. So not only did they not tell me I had a continuance, they also lied to cover there tracks and still charged me for the appearance they didn't appear at.
