We visited yesterday for my teenage daughter to take her driving test. Although busy, as soon as…read morewe walked in, those working at the BMV and giving driving tests were kind, helpful and put people at ease. As I waited for my daughter to be called and why my daughter was taking her test, I watched several driving test staff come out and call names to take someone out for their test and every single staff member was kind, warm, smiled and engaged with the person. I watched an anxiety decreased among every single person who was being tested. The feedback to my daughter after her test was intentional and kind. As she passed, we then had to go to the other section of the BMV to get her license and again, every person we encountered was lovely. This BMV was extremely busy, but it was like a well-oiled machine. Everything moved fairly quickly and every person we encountered was great. Thank you Huber Heights BMV for just being all around stellar. You made going to the BMV a great experience - which can be hard to do! Thank you and we appreciate you!

This location has always taken care of us, even when other BMVs told us "no". My husband had an…read moreexpired NM license, but was on active duty in the military, so it was still considered a valid license by NM's laws. Just before he retired from the military, he went to get an Ohio license and was told by another location that he'd need to take the driver's license test, since his license was expired. We came to THIS location, and they figured out how to get him an Ohio license without having to take the written and driving exam. Today we came to register a new vehicle and found that they have changed their system (due to COVID) and now screen you when you walk in, give you a number, and direct you to stand on one of the circles on the floor that are 6 feet apart until your number is called. We were out of there in under 15 minutes. Everyone who works there is always friendly and polite.

We came here recently for a three year old's birthday party. We weren't quite sure where to enter…read moreat first because this community center is shared with the police station....I thought this was kinda bizarre because it's something I've never encountered before. lol. But somehow after a little wandering, we found our group on the second floor in a decent sized room. There was space for three extra long tables for seating, one long table of food, a craft table, dessert table, a pin-the-nose-on-the-donkey style game and gift table. Our host welcomed us to stay during her two hour time slot. An everyone helped to stay and clean up, so we were all cleared out by 30 minutes after the party was over. I will note that this room not only had a large storage closet, but also a full kitchen that was off to the side and could be closed off. Through our entire visit, I don't think I saw anyone from the venue at all. Infact, this place was a no-man's land aside from us. I did appreciate that there was a small lounge area out on the second floor that was the perfect place to slip away when it came time to nurse my baby. Again, no one else was around to be bothered by us.

We moved here 34 years ago, and never expected to stay. But we have (though we are moving soon to…read moredownsize). When we came, there was one stop light in town, and it was rural. Not so much anymore, it's really grown. But kept it's small town feel. Crime rates are low as you find anywhere, even thought people consider it a speed trap. The police have to do something after all. Schools are highly rated, but the big controversary is they need another levy to pay those huge salary and it's already too high. In most cases, we do get what we pay for. It's a great place to live. We won't go far.

Like other DML branches, it is clean and well-maintained…read more It has a larger children's and teen's section than some of the other branches, including a teen quad and opportunity space which appears to be geared towards arts and crafts. Reservable spaces include a quad for up to 4 people, group room for up to 8 people, conference room for up to 10 people and large community room for up to 90 people. There's also a quiet reading area with two 4-person tables, two 2-person tables and some reading chairs. Most of these spaces are on the inner portion of the library, so they lack windows. Other than the reservable spaces, there's not a whole lot of other places to sit -- only two other larger tables, one of which is occupied by a community puzzle. Of note, it gets rather cold here so bring a jacket if you plan on staying a while!

The staff deftly handles people who are returning with documents so they don't have to wait in line again. Folks are masked and there are acrylic dividers for covid transmission prevention.. I was here to retake eye exam after doing poorly due to cataracts. Now that the catarcts are off I did pass an the staffer gave me a high 5! Made this old lady's day.
