I love how each grade level has a whole separate wing and that 5th grade is totally off to themselves. The cafeteria is spacious and well organised. Their stage isn't huge but exceptionally prepared. The teachers present not all of them work at Williams all the time but they were super friendly helpful and supportive. The nurse called me days ahead of time to make sure I had the paperwork and medications ready in case my son had an asthma attack while he was there. He came home exuberant each and every day talking about what he had done and who he had played with - something he rarely ever does with his zoned school. If they operate like this during the normal school year I am envious of all the people who's children are lucky enough to attend this campus.

Great school, the only problem I have is with the transportation department. Last year and this…read moreyear I've had so many issues with the bus driver skipping our house or being very late. Anytime I call the bus barn it's an excuse. The last straw was today when my kids had to wait outside in the cold rain and the bus was almost 30 minutes late. And this previous Friday my kids didn't get on the bus until after 8 because the driver skipped us and didn't want to turn around so they sent a different bus completely. Their excuse to me was there's a sub driver. Absolutely ridiculous.

All of the staff members have been genuinely curious and open to our ideas and concerns. We are grateful that LCA has integrated our child's strengths into his learning path. This has greatly increased his enthusiasm for school! We were tired of paying private school prices for a public school experience. The Montessori schools are too far away, but that is the type of independent learning environment our child thrives in. Fortunately, LCA offers an environment that recognizes the individual, celebrates creativity and works collaboratively with families.

It's been years since my children were at Glenwood, but we still talk about the magic that happened…read morethere. My now third grader got a huge head start to 1st grade public school because of Ms Abby. She really knows how to nurture and educate children. Even my child says he was glad he went and learned from her because the concepts she taught were not taught at his public school. The family values and sense of community that is fostered by Glenwood is unprecedented. My younger child went through pre-K and immediately the teacher knew he would need some extra help in school. She was right. We ended up having outside testing done that guided us on the best way to address his needs in school. It all started with Glenwood. Too bad we moved and that it's not a full pre-K-5th grade campus. I would have loved to have stayed.
