I have been going to this dental office for over five years but the office staff has gone downhill to the point that I had to make a move. I like the dentist and I like the hygenists but the office staff is always selling, which is tiresome. The most recent experience was so upsetting that I ended up walking out of the office- I was very disappointed that the dentist did not call to explain/apologize/discuss- a longtime patient certainly deserves a minute of time. But, nope! So, I will be taking my business elsewhere, which is a shame. read more

I have never taken the time to write a bad online review, but was just shocked about this visit and thought I should share my experience. I recently moved to Fort Worth and was looking for a new dentist, so I visited Dr. Rubin six months ago. I have religiously visited a dentist every 6 months and have never had any cavities or any issues at all with my teeth. When I saw Dr. Rubin, he told me I had 9 cavities. How do you suddenly get 9 cavities when your teeth were perfect 6 months prior? I was skeptical, and reached out to my last dentist (who is a close personal friend of mine) - he said that's ridiculous, that he's certain I didn't have any cavities when he saw me 6 months prior and that there's no way 9 could develop in that short of a time period. He said that some dentists are aggressive in their approach and tend to overtreat, even if it is just a color change in the tooth and not an actual cavity or decay. I sent him my xrays, and he compared to the ones he had taken of me - all show no cavities. When I went to pay for my services (I have dental insurance and usually pay next to nothing for my cleanings) my total was $177. I was confused about why it was so much, maybe I was out of network? If so, why wouldn't the staff tell me that when they took my insurance upon arrival? I paid and left - then checked with my insurance later. Turns out they had overbilled me, I called and complained, and they said they'd send me a check with the difference. Even after they reimbursed me (check didn't arrive till months later by the way), the service was over $100, more than I've ever paid for a cleaning. What if I hadn't caught the error? They would've just kept that money? Then they quoted me for the 9 cavities, that was going to cost thousands of dollars. Btw - Someone else wrote a yelp review on here, stating that it would be cheaper to tell this office that you're uninsured, and that would definitely have been the case for me. I shouldn't have even told them that I'm insured. Fast forward to now, I just went to get another cleaning this week (at a different location, which is much farther of a drive for me but it's with a friend of mine who's a dentist), and she said I have NO cavities. I also am a healthcare provider, and I understand that every provider has a different approach when treating patients, was trained differently, can be more/less conservative in their treatment protocols, but this office was crossing the line of ethics in my opinion. I called 10 days ago to schedule an appointment for a cleaning. I have only been to Montgomery plaza dental for teeth whitening, not for a cleaning, and the lady on the phone confirmed this as well. I arrived at my given appointment time and day. When checking in, the front desk had no record of an appointment for me and again brought up that I had not been for a cleaning before only a teeth whitening. I checked my phone records to make sure that I called the correct office. My phone records show a 7 minute phone call with Montgomery Plaza Dental on 9/21 and yet they have no record of me having an appointment on the books at all. The front desk lady was apologetic and offered to schedule me about 2 weeks from now but I declined. I can't afford to take off of work again for their mistake. read more

This dentist office prices based on two economies - insurance vs no insurance. If you go here just say you don't have insurance you will pay less in the long run. They have this game going if you have insurance they charge $500 for checkup with X-rays etc. If you don't have insurance you can become a "member" and pay only $189 for the same check up and get 5% or 10% off your treatment plan. This results is people with insurance having their dental benefit being consumed by the exam charge and checkup charge and having to pay higher rates for treatments after their benefits have been exhausted- Use your insurance somewhere else if you want to get anything out of it!!! read more

I have never received such friendly or personalized service at a dentist anywhere. Upon submitting my appointment request online, I was contacted promptly by a professional and caring staff member. Finding information and filling out paperwork were convenient through their website. When I came in for my appointment, I waiting maybe 5 minutes before being called back to have a 1-1 with Dr. Rubin - in an office chair (not laying down in a dentist chair). He really took the time not only to find out my dental history but to learn a little about me personally as well. After the consultation, he introduced me to my dental hygienist telling her a little about me and then what to look for in my check up. The dental hygienist was so nice and I felt comfortable the entire time. Overall, I really enjoyed my visit to the dentist. How often do you hear that? I definitely recommend this office! read more

I had a cleaning yesterday and was very happy with it. Sharon is a total sweetheart. Very professional and kind. Dr. Rubin was very upfront, but not arrogant. They gave me a plan to better my teeth, (you only get one set, after all!) and I feel that I gained valuable information. All staff was very friendly. They work with you if you don't have insurance. Dr Rubin and his staff are, well, the best! That might sound trite but that's the best way to sum up their service. From the front desk staff to each of Dr Rubin's Dental Assistants and Hygienists, everyone has a smile when they greet you. They are consistently willing to go above and beyond in serving their customers. Dr Rubin is highly expert in the Dental Arts - his experience shows with every interaction. In Office Zoom Teeth Whitening; Brittany was amazing and kept me comfortable at all times. I had sensitive teeth for the entire day afterwards so I would suggest a later appointment (I went at 9am) so you can sleep it off over night. I went 6 shades lIghter. Don't let their location in a shopping center put you off. This is one of the best dentists' offices I've ever been to. Their staff is wonderful, so friendly and accommodating.
