They also hand-dug a 6-foot long by 4-foot wide by 6-foot deep hole in the front lawn to locate the waste/sewer pipe leading to the street in order for the town's Sewer department to repair the faulty pipe. Once the pipe repair was completed by the town's Sewer Department, Tommy and his team returned to our home and carefully back-filled the hole with the dirt they removed. Each project was top-notch. Tommy and his team of qualified, trained professional landscapers arrived on time, were very efficient, thorough, careful, and friendly. Since everything was exactly planned out and explained during the initial estimate, there were no surprises or hidden fees along the way. Tommy was on the job site along with his team every minute of each project to both supervise and work alongside his crew. I finally…read morefired them after asking to see if they could provide a lawn clean-up within a specific timeframe - e.g. "Can you come before Monday?". When the owner didn't really answer my question and responded he couldn't come Monday, I asked for a clarifying answer - did he mean he couldn't come on Monday, or anytime before Monday? Instead of just politely giving me an answer or saying "sorry, we're not available", the owner said no, and then took it upon himself to berate me with a curt "should've contacted me sooner." I didn't realize he was doing ME a favor in this business arrangement. At the last lawn mowing the previous year, I also found a large pile of grass clippings and various leaves debris piled up against one side of my fence, hidden behind my hydrangea bush which could have led to rot and mildew against my fence. When I brought it up, the owner said because we didn't pay him for official removal of the leaves, he felt it was fair for his team to leave the debris in my yard - instead of notifying me or calling me to ask me (when they were there) what we can do about it. It also didn't make sense because the debris pile consisted mostly of new grass clippings and not the mulched leaves. Another time, they came when I was home and the gate to the backyard was closed since it was about an hour earlier than when I usually expect them. Instead of ringing the doorbell or trying to call me, they decided to mow the front lawn and leave within 10 minutes. I had to text back noting that I saw the back lawn wasn't done before the team came back to do the job. One or two mishaps I'm ok with - even an increase in prices, which happened this year - but the attitude was the straw that broke the camel's back. Maybe they have more business now and don't need mine. They won't miss me, and I won't miss them and can no longer recommend them in good faith to anyone.

Dennis came on a Sunday to go over the project with us and showed up on time and very professional. The work began a few weeks later and the job was complete way beyond our expectations. The fill in between them in not done evenly and it is overfilled and underfilled in certain areas. I had dirt leaking everywhere during rain because they made the one retaining wall way too low. They also cut corners and used my fence to hold a lot of dirt weight and I'm worried that will be an issue in the future if there is a storm that takes out the fence on that side. There were proposed changes made to the project and I kept asking with each change I asked for what it would cost. Instead of giving me an answer, he kept saying he would let me know, he would let me know. Fast forward to the end and instead of letting me know they completed the work. Imagine getting an additional bill for $11,000 on top of the $27,000 we agreed upon. A 40% increase. Then he tried to charge me an additional $1900 on top of what he had put in writing. Get everything in writing before they do anything or you will have a surprise.
