Pull-up bar assessment: While ultimately we did not install the pull-up bar, John's comprehensive analysis, infrastructure review, and counsel was the principal output. John understood the proposed project and took immediate action to understand the infrastructure before providing us an adroit assessment. It is a practice that is indicative of a quality practitioner is his field. Perfect. Project 2: Crown molding repair: We purchases this residence a few months ago. A piece of the crown molding within one of the rooms magically decided to fall from the ceiling one day. You can imagine how pleasant that was. John knew immediately what to do how to do it. The crown molding is now repaired better than preexisting. Project 3: Refrigerator Handles: With a custom refrigerator and decorative handles, it wasn't your average appliance repair. The veneer panel and associated brackets needed to be delicately removed to facilitate the necessary repair. John was excellent in this project. Not only does he have the experience repairing high-end kitchens, but possesses a skillful eye for craftsmanship and detail. I paid approximately $8,900, and the job was left unfinished. We signed a contract for work that was supposed to take approximately 4 days, including painting the living room and bathrooms, replacing ceiling lights, and bathroom renovation work. On the first day, he arrived with approximately four workers and started the job. On the second day, he told me his crew did not show up because they had worked around 13 hours the previous day. He then showed up with only one young worker. During the remaining days, different people kept coming and going. In my experience, there did not appear to be a consistent crew assigned to complete the project. The biggest problem is the condition in which the job was left. Several parts of the work were unfinished or needed to be corrected, and despite my repeated attempts to contact him, he did not return to complete the work. He later claimed that there were unpaid "change orders." I strongly dispute that claim. I have records of my payments and written messages regarding what was paid, including a message confirming that everything was paid. This was not only my experience. He also performed work for my neighbor, and according to my neighbor, that project was also left unfinished. I also received messages from him outside normal working hours that I personally found inappropriate and unprofessional. Before hiring this person, I strongly recommend asking for proof of the appropriate Florida contractor licensing for the specific work you are hiring him to perform, getting every item in writing, and documenting every payment and communication. I have kept the signed contract, payment records, photographs of the unfinished work, and written communications related to this project. After paying approximately $8,900, I expected the contracted work to be properly completed. That did not happen. Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend Ricky. I would not hire him again.

We received several previous estimates from a Popcorn/Ceiling/Texture company, a contractor, and an electrician. Trying to coordinate three different companies to complete one job can be very challenging. I contacted Blue Sky Textures & Drywall for an estimate on the Popcorn Removal. Our Estimator was Jack who was very professional and conversational, he also happens to be the owner. I discussed with him on the scope of our project and that the popcorn ceiling would be done after the removal of the wall by another contractor. Jack stated that they perform all work " in-house" and have contractors on staff that can remove the wall, do the electrical, Remove the Popcorn, Apply Texture and paint the ceiling. Jack was outstanding as we discussed all aspects of the work to be contracted. I received the estimate which was very affordable considering the scope of the project. It was also very appealing that we would only need to deal with one company as all aspects of the work will be completed "in-house" with no sub-contractors. The work was promptly scheduled and was greeted by the Job Forman, Jay. We discussed the project and timeline as the crew immediately went to work covering all furniture, floors and walls with plastic. Jay is a talented Contractor and excellent electrician and the entire Blue Sky Team was amazing.... From the Demo, Electrical, Plastering, Finishing, Knockdown to the final Paint, every aspect of the project went exactly as planned. I was in constant contact with Jay as he visited the job every day making sure that we were 100% satisfied with the work. Removing Popcorn Ceiling is a messy job, don't let anyone tell you different. I included a picture of what you should expect. I would even suggest leaving the house or planning a day outdoors. However, Blue Sky covers EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING. At the end of each day, the Blu Sky Team completely cleans up and starts each day completely fresh, recovering everything. I know other Popcorn Removal Companies leave up all the plastic for two days so that the painters don't have to cover or tape-up anything. Not Blue Sky, they leave your house livable everyday. I would highly recommend Blue Sky Textures.
