Moon Nails is under new ownership. I just went last week. The owner, Helen is very sweet and kind. Such a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

Poor customer service, over priced, there's an additional charge for literally everything, and their demeanor is dismissive and rude.

Under new management, I went in for a French tip the guy doing my nails said he had been working for 10yrs... my Nails were long but super thinned because of how much he drilled them down. After I told him he still did fix them how I wanted and even after I tipped he said under his breath "that's all".. I waited for him to take two smoke breaks and finish his lunch while my nails were soaking... After two of my nails broke (now three) I go to get them fixed and charged me after the fact which I didn't mind as long as someone else did my nails. If I can give 0 star I will definitely do so for moon nails. Terrible experience. I asked for a gel removal and white tip. They charged me for $13 which supposed to be $10 according to the price list. They asked me to pay before they do anything on my nails and saying that they do want it to be ruin afterward. So I payed, but I kept a few dollars out and wanted to pay the tips after my nails r done. I don't know if she thinks that I'm not going to pay her tip or what, but she didn't remove my gel polish completely and I have to tell her kindly that there were still colors. At the end I've got uneven color white tip and overlapping pink transparent nail polish on my finger. Worst manicure experience ever! Will not come back for sure. read more

Very unprofessional nail salon. I went to have my nails done on 2/14 and received very rushed service. I did not complain because I attributed it to them having a long day. The VERY NEXT DAY a nail popped of and the rest began to lift. I returned on Monday and was told the wait would be long. I arrived on Tuesday morning (today) before they opened and waited to only be told my nails are normal for 4 days after a fill in so she wouldn't fix them. Then I asked (as politely as possible) if she she could just soak them off free of charge and she said no it would be $10 and got up. I came into this salon for a fill in and pedicure. After close attention by the nail tech, the nail benefitted more as a full set with acrylic for the achieved look that I was desiring. Close attention to detail was used and a friendly atmosphere was presented with a steady workflow. The staff is very kind and aims to assist the client to feel most comfortable in their salon. I went earlier this school year in September. I went in and asked how much for a fill in and I was told $15 I waited an entire hour before I was seen and then the guy tries to wipe off my polish. I told him it was gel and they said they charge $10 for gel removal. Which is ridiculous because they didn't apply it. Then he started yelling before he said okay I'll do it for $15 but the manager told him that he couldn't alter "standard" prices. Okay first of all im a college student so that should speak volumes about my financial state. Why is it that these people are in a college town charging extra for literally every single thing. I usually get coffin shape and she told me it was $10 extra because "it's extra work" (it's honestly not and ive never been charged $10 extra for them). I ended up getting a regular degular square tip full set and still ended paying an extra $3 on top of the $25 because of the "length" when it really wasn't long to begin with. I tried talking to her about it and she was SO rude. I'm very unsatisfied with my nails and the experience all together. NEVER going there again.
