You can also use your vehicle's radio, but beware of draining your battery. You can watch the movie from inside your vehicle comma or bring a blanket to watch from outside. Some people get creative and watch from the beds of their trucks, a van seat on the grass, etc. Before the movies begin, kids usually play together in the big grassy area in front of the screen -- where it's too close to park and see the movies. The whole place is kept very clean, and the snack bar is filled with all the "tterrific but horrible" movie theater offerings you would expect, including nachos, burgers, ice cream, and (of course) candy, pop, and popcorn! But, these prices are much more realistic and reasonable than at the walk in theaters. The staff is wonderfully friendly, and there have always been two working pinball machines when we visit! The audio and visual quality of the movies is always terrific. You'll also get to see some nostalgic advertising - like the countdown in between the movies, which I'm guessing is actually from the era it depicts. (If not, it does a great job at making it seem that way to a modern audience.)

This location is indeed screening up-to-date films, just don't expect the standard you'll see in larger theatres like AMC or Cinemark. Our auditorium (4) had a blown out speaker and frankly the sound balancing wasn't the best in general. If everything were operating at prime, I'd give this location another star. Other than that, absolutely met my expectations. The popcorn was fresh and buttery and the staff was friendly and informative. Craig and Nicole are very accommodating to any needs you may have, and they have a full snack bar as well as offer free popcorn (and they have every flavor shaker you could think of, and many I'm sure you've never seen). The smaller 30-person theatre area is perfect for a more intimate event like the debut of a locally made movie, or an acoustic performance. The seats are VERY comfortable and I'm almost ashamed to admit having to fight to stay awake more than once due to overcomfort hahaha. They also offer VR Gameplay on their top-of-the-line gaming laptop, and bolster an impressive inventory of games. Other than the VR and the theatre area, Erie Movie House also has an air hockey table, loads of arcade cabinets, many of which have TONS of game choices, an area where they have a super comfy couch, and an NES, SNES, SEGA, ATARI, and more; all with cartridge ROMs of every existing title. They made wall art with the cable management going from the consoles to the very large flat display tv, and even have a working (free) payphone! Classic malt-shop style jukebox for some tunes, fun gimmicky Addams Family electric grip thing which makes your hands all tingly... but my favorite thing is PINBALL. Not only do they have several classic pinball machines, they have a DIGITAL pinball machine that has literally almost EVERY pinball machine ever made on its hard drive. And you might be thinking that it wouldn't match up to the real thing, but it is SLICK. They pretty much have to pry me off of it every time I'm there. We hosted my daughters 13th birthday party there, and it was very reasonably priced, and Craig and Nicole actually even opened an hour earlier for us (due to my mixup: I scheduled 6pm and the invites said 5). Would definitely host another party there, the kids had a blast and I did too! I have also hosted metal concerts with them, and they're wonderful with promotion, and always make sure that each band is paid for their performances. Top notch people own and operate this place. And if your event is 21+ there is even a liquor store next door! Highly Reccomend, obviously.

The theater…read morewas easy to find, street parking was plentiful, ticket prices were comparable to other area theaters, snacks were fresh and seats were clean. I went on dates at this theater and brought my children here, so it's a nice feeling to have a third generation of my family able to enjoy movies in the same theater I did. I have been at this Cinema a couple of years back and enjoyed the movie and theatre. Well this time…read morewas a little different it is an odd thing that happened and probably doesn't happen all the time if ever but there was only 4 employees which none looked more than 16 or 17 years old and I don't blame them it is the manager problem and should have a lead person that is more experienced working with them. So we were in the film about 15 minutes and there was a thunderstorm that knocked out the electricity and then it came right back on but the fire alarm came on thought out the whole place and first we all waited about 15 minutes before an employee came in he told us to stay seated and they would be starting the film again and get the alarm off, 2 minutes later he came back and said everyone had to go to the lobby and the firemen would be turning off the alarm. So the whole lobby was full and the firemen men came but they had to check each theater room and they worked on turning off alarm. We stayed for 35 minutes but they still could not get the alarm to stop, so we asked for a voucher for another time and received it. You could clearly see that the employees were not trained for this kind of situation.
