We've stayed at Deer Creek Inn and Winery about once a year since 2021, when I first discovered it…read moreshortly after the pandemic. At that time, it felt like a true bed-and-breakfast experience with thoughtful personal touches (guests were welcomed with a bottle of wine, breakfast was full and clearly made with care, and the overall atmosphere felt warm and attentive). Over the past couple of years, especially since the addition of their second location, I've noticed some changes in the overall experience. The level of personal interaction feels more limited than it used to, and check-in and general hospitality have become more minimal. I do understand how difficult it can be to find and retain good staff in the hospitality industry, and I appreciate the effort that goes into running a business like this. The biggest change for me has been the food and dining experience. They are no longer offering a bottle of wine in the room, but a glass of wine ordered at the bar. Breakfast, which used to be a real highlight is now much more basic and doesn't feel as thoughtfully prepared as it once did. Pricing has also increased, while the overall food offerings have decreased in both variety and quality. One of our favorite extras used to be the charcuterie platter for two, which we would order one each stay and enjoy in our room. We've stopped ordering it because both the portion size and product quality no longer felt consistent with the price or with our earlier experiences. Overall, I still like Deer Creek Inn, our favorite rooms are the Brooks Deluxe Suite and the Celebration room. We will continue to visit occasionally, but it no longer has quite the same special feel it once did for us, so I won't be going as often as I used to.

First time here. It's a great place. Staff is friendly. The breakfast is phenomenal! You can taste…read morethe wines before you buy. Live music was good. Too bad it was very cold-53 with occasional showers. The room is beautifully decorated-we stayed in "Winter in Paris" several downfalls are that the spiders the bed was not comfortable (We sleep on firm mattresses) and it was freezing-turned temp up to 75. They are celebrating their 15th birthday today. Good food. The Berry Sangria Slushy is really good! Overall it's a great place to visit! The little personal touches make it very welcoming

I will tried to be fair here. We had a bad experience and honestly can't review the food because…read morethey literally ran out prior to us getting there even most of their appetizers were out. We had arrange for a graduation dinner here at 8:30 pm for 8 people. Shortly before we headed to the restaurant they called to make sure we were still coming we I thought was odd. This is where they could have righted a wrong by telling us they were very low on entrees and give us the option to decide to go somewhere else. 4 of the 6 dinner entrees weren't available, mashed potatoes were out. Most of the appetizers were also out. We ended up getting the last 4 small empanadas, 2 pretzels and 2 salads then decided to leave it was 9:30 pm by this time. We ended up at McDonalds yay. They did tried to work with us but it wasn't going to work for us. The bartender was snooty I won't get into that. The food is pricey and what we ate wasn't spectacular. They may have been off that night but again they could have gave us a heads up when they check in with us a hour before we arrived. Graduations dinner ruined.

Disappointing! I had the Fricase de Pollo. Described as Cuban style chicken quarters served with…read morepotatoes and Spanish style rice. It was a boiled chicken leg and thigh with white rice, a few olives, and some water cress - flavorless and not very good at all. No potatoes, zero flavor, and definitely not worth the price. No where close to the description on the menu. My son wanted the beef short ribs but they were sold out. He settled for the smoked duck wrap and fries - bang average. My wife got the catfish - she liked it. You want to support local establishments but this was a miss. If you're offering a limited menu then have what's on the menu. Three entrees, two appetizers, two beers, a glass of wine and a soda for $230. Disappointing!
