I have been a patient of Dr Santelli for at least 10 years now. I first went because my shoulder hurt. No big deal, fixed that with a few visits. Then as the months passed I would go in for other aches and pains, Dr Santelli decided to run a blood test. I had 4 other medical Dr's at the time with current blood tests but no one saw anything wrong except for Santelli. My iron was a little high, he spent time thinking about it, even when I wasn't in his office, so he wanted to run a different blood test to get a Ferritin level. Long story short, he saved my life. He discovered that I have Hemochromatosis. A blood disorder that shuts down your organs and "rusts" your joints. He started my treatments and adds a special combination to my Chelation IV Therapy to pull the iron from my blood. My levels are great now and I continue with Chelation at his office in Moore even though I moved 2 hrs away a couple of years ago. Let me tell you a true story. ... I am now 42 years old. When I was 27, I began experiencing debilitating anxiety attacks for seemingly, no reason at all. I could not drive. Sometimes not even being able to leave my house. I went to the mainstream Doctor. In 5 minutes, I was told I had bipolar disorder, given prescriptions of Lithium and Paxil, and shown the door. My husband and I highly recommend Dr. Santelli and his staff. I have COPD and the IV therapy has helped me breathe easier and has increased my stamina. Moore Family Clinic did more damage than healing. I writing this personal review to help other people to weight out their choices in choosing a medical facility. This is my experience on 1/14/2016 @10:15 am. I was looking a for a chiropractor in my area and read the review 5 establishment. I choose Moore Family Clinic base on a clinic post website on how friendly and efficient their doctor and staff is. So, On 1/13/16 i called my insurance and verified if moore clinic take cigna and double check with the cigna website both venue claim moore family clinic take cigna. therefore, i called moore clinic to schedule a appointment. Brittany took the call and schedule me in for 10;15am on the 14th. The next i took to be proactive i drove to the establishment to ask for the new patient paperwork earlier and take it home to fill out. The front lady claimed i didn't have a appointment on the 14th. Base on the fact she was the one who makes all the appointment. I ask her is your name Brittany? she says no. OH! Brittany she made the appointment??!! let me check the schedule then. Once she check the computer she found out she assumed wrong and there was my appointment for the 14th. I ask if they wanted my ID and insurance card to copy early. the front lady said yes. I advise her if you have any problem call me today if you have any problem with the insurance so i can call them asap since my appointment tomorrow. she said, ok brittany does all the insurance verification call. i replied, ok thank you have a good day and see you tomorrow. Once i received my paperwork i returned home 1/14/16 10:15am i arrived at my appointment on-time with my paperwork filled out. Brittany ask for my paperwork and i gave it her. my elderly parents was with me and we sat in the waiting area. Next thing, Brittany comes back to me and gives back my insurance paperwork and said the number on your insurance card says it is out of order. I said, I just called them yesterday but what number did you call? she says, ALL OF THEM!!! i ask her again, ok, you called all the number but what button did you push? did you go under member too? she replys, I call ALL OF THEM! And she turns her back to me and hides behind some wooden curtain and never comes out. Therefore, I walked to the the lady in the front desk. I ask her "does this establishment ever worked with cigna? she stated yes. Then, why don't you guys call the number you have used before? she puts her head down. she didn't say nothing. next thing, dr. Santelli come out to use the copy machine. ( i knew it was him bcuz when i read the review online his picture was shown) I said, are you the doctor? (i was seeing if you was going to lie about him not being the doctor) Dr. Santelli says, yes. i replied, i have to let you know Brittany is a lousy customer service. He retaliate, "well, it is the patience responsiblility to call the insurance to verified. I fired back and said, "I DID! i called my insurance yesterday and looked on my insurance website to double check if your place of business takes my cigna and they both stated, Yes, you are covered. So, I am verbally stating to you that cigna will cover the medical visit." Dr. santelli replies, "you are unhappy all ready so you can find somewhere else to go". I said, i am unhappy because i have all my paperwork and verification and you guys are coming up with excuse to deny service to me which is fine. But you needed to tell me yesterday so i didn't have to waste my time. Dr. santell reiterate, "you are unhappy so leave." And he turns his back and walks behind the wooden curtain. Now, i was thinking something not right here. so, i stayed at the front desk put my phone on speaker and called cigna and got ahold of representative. I stated, i am at moore family clinic their staff state all the number they try on my card doesn't work. But i don't know how that is because i have you on the line. But i will give them the benefit of the doubt. So, what number do they need to call? The representative gave me the number acronym with code they need. i hung up. I know Brittany And dr santelli could her the called. i looked at the front desk lady and said, well, there is the information for future CiGNA new patience. keep it on file. I don't want anyone to go thru and have the experience i had here today. she says to me, i i know i seen everything and i am sorry. i told her you were great because you didn't run to hide.
