After calling several services with no response, A Cut Above Tree Service came to the rescue. Miguel called right back and came out a couple of hours later. He surveyed the damage and wrote up an estimate on the spot which was very reasonable. He and his crew came out the very next day, performed the service, and cleaned up the area beautifully. The tree was in a heavily wooded area and his crew was able to position the logs so they would not disturb a nearby stream runoff and cause flooding. They also cut down a dead maple tree in our front yard and again did a superb job of cleaning up the area. My wife and I were thrilled with the professionalism and courtesy of Miguel and his crew. They definitely live up to their company name - A Cut Above; they truly have exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend them and will definitely use then in the future.

The crew showed up on time at the agreed upon date. This vendor had previously done work for me with no problems on a prior job and I was expecting everything to go smoothly. I even referred them to my neighbor who hired them for some additional work to be done while they were onsite at my house. Unfortunately, there was a disagreement about what 2 large branches were supposed to be trimmed on a large oak tree. I did not get the work done that I had agreed upon with Jordan. I needed a large branch removed that was in danger of falling on my neighbor's shed. That had been discussed at length with Jordan and was the primary reason for the job. A different and much smaller branch was removed instead. Stump grinding was part of the job and that part was completed as agreed. The stump grinding equipment was left in my neighbor's driveway and a truck came to pick it up. The truck drove across my lawn. This was really not necessary since the equipment was parked in a driveway and easily accessible without driving across my lawn. This is not a big deal for me (my lawn is ok) but some folks do get upset about this stuff. Misunderstandings about which branches were to be trimmed can happen. However, I don't feel that they really cared to try and resolve the issue with a reasonable compromise in good faith. Poor attitude. I paid them in full for taking down a different branch and will now have to hire another vendor to finish the job. This vendor is no longer welcome on my property. If you do use this vendor, make sure you get each branch clearly marked.

He was told it would be $400, which happens to be the base charge for them to come out to you house. These are the best arborists I have worked with and I have worked with some fine arborists over…read moretime. I don't understand the other review that was left because I have been using them for a few years now and I have never had calls to complain or have worry at all. They are professional. They show up on time for their appointments and they don't block neighbors driveways. They are champion climbers and safety is always the first thing with them and they are very careful with my garden and I have extensive gardens along with giant trees. They also care for the trees that need inoculation and they are good enough to give me wood chips when I need it, although usually I generate enough tree trimming twice a year that I just have them chip my own wood from trimming. I will also note that they have come in at the end of each job they have done for me under the original estimate. I think that's wonderful. I use them on average twice a year. If I have an emergency they are out in a jiffy. Another thing they did last fall that was a help to me was hang up a flying squirrel box because my husband was so busy and had never gotten hung up. Anyway, in case you haven't noticed already, I can't say enough positive things about this company. I have referred them to several people who have also been pleased.

About an hour after starting the job I was informed that he underbid the job and he would be "walking away". The reason is because he "didn't realize how big the trees were.".... WHAT? The trees which he , the owner, came to look at prior to giving me an estimate. This wasn't some new laborer who screwed up. It was the owner of the company. If this is what you do for a living why can't you properly assess the size and scope of a job? I read all the reviews online and they probably do decent work if you can get them to stay; but if you don't want to ask if they're charging you enough money I would suggest you look elsewhere.
