Fresh shawarmas/ falafel/ kebabs @mooringeats Bringing the Syrian food to you We loved the wrap! It wasn't overly stuffed or overly sauced so it made it easier to eat The owner was friendly and told us about how he started back home and wanted to do the same here We would have liked little bit more spicy and slightly more seasoned chicken. Also leave a google review and get fresh lentil soup on the house

Mooring Eats is a very popular place in the neighbourhood. I've given it a couple of tries because other people think it's great. To me, it's kind of dry. The potatoes in particular aren't great. The Shwarma was ok. There's better Shwarma to be had. Dry p

Shawarma plate is authentic and delicious and the wrap is perfect. The lemon sauce neutralizes the savory flavor and makes you feel fresh with every bite. The restaurant is clean and neat with enough space for sitting and eating inside, price is reasonable with such a good quality meal. Awesome!

Food was great, inside dining area was really clean and would be a nice place to eat, but we just chose to take the food to go. The guy at the front was nice and friendly, and the pricing is pretty cheap as well for what you get. Also we got a free baklava dessert for checking in on Yelp! Very happy :) Would definitely come here again!

Great experience! Called and it was ready in under ten minutes. Friendly staff, fresh and hot meal. And a good start spot to keep walking east, not to brag but I walked 20km after my meal... I was energized, ready to go Chicken shawarma TOP NOTCH, a definite return spot.

This Syrian spot with Middle Eastern Cuisine like shwarma, kebabs and shish tawook serves ridiculously moist and delicious wraps. Alot of the chain brand places for shwarma sometimes serve chicken dry but this place is fresh and so moist with their meats. If requested based on flavor, the kebabs are panfried to order and marinated in amazing sauces. A great choice and a nice nautical theme on the inside.

We found this place online and walked in, and ordered the fish and beef platters. As we sat outside, we met the owner who greeted us and made us feel very welcome. The food was incredible, I'm willing to rate this the best shawerma in Toronto. The owner told us it's his family's recipe from Syria. We will be back!

I checked out mooring eats and they had some delicious Syrian food! On-top of that, they had a variety of non-meat options! Stuffed Grape Leaves - Vegetarian grape leaves stuffed with delicious soft rice and strong flavour. I've never had grape leaves, and as a first experience, this was great! There's so much flavour in the leaves, it comes off as sour but with the smooth rice, it was a good convo! Falafel wrap - The wrap contains falafel, hummus, pickles, tomato, and parsley. One thing I've noticed about their wraps is it's a bit smaller - which I love because I don't love it when my wraps are thick and chunky. The vegetables that were mixed with it was great combo and the falafels are so soft and yet crisp.

Wow wow wow!! I'll be honest I went in with low expectations as this location has turned over several businesses over the last few years but I really appreciate that they've made a big effort to make the place look great, and they did! It has a nautical theme which to me is a little weird for a shawarma place but it suits the area well being that it is literally about 50 steps from the lake. My wife and I were hungry and didn't feel like cooking so took a drive and saw that they had opened so decided to give them a try. We both went for the shawarma dinners which come with a choice of rice and choice of salad. We both opted for the lentil rice which looks like it has some fried onions throughout and so much test flavour. The chicken was super tender and the sauces and accompaniments were all delicious. The business is family run and we briefly chatted with the son who was working alongside his uncle and father. The father was kind enough to throw in some baklava for us also. Overall I am so glad this place has opened a few blocks from my house as this will be added into the regular rotation and this is now the best shawarma dinner I've had in Toronto.

This was so delicious. "Sticks" fries loaded with chicken shawarma and covered in a flavourful hot sauce. The fries were crispy and the chicken was delicious, the hot sauce wasn't too hot but had a lot of flavour. They have a great menu with lots of options including wraps, plates, falafels, shawarma, salads, dips And more!

There's been a lot of hype in my neighbourhood about this establishment, so I decided to finally give it a try. Note that I always write my restaurant reviews based on taste, quality, customer service and value for money. There were no customers during my visit and there was no menu to be found. I asked the polite young man (who was cooking) if they had beef shawarma. I thought he would say no because I only saw chicken shawarma on the spit. I went ahead and ordered a beef shawarma wrap, which I had to pay for first before receiving my food - odd but anyway ... the beef shawarma was not really beef shawarma but marinated beef strips that a man (in a cruise ship hat) prepared on the flattop. The toppings looked very fresh and the wrap was rolled meticulously. It was tasty but, again, not a real beef shawarma. My suggestion to the man that cooked the meat would be to ensure that the marinade was properly "dried" before putting it on the flattop. This caused the meat to be a saucy and, when mixed with tahini, the "brown" colour is very unappetizing. All in all, it was good but not really worth the $12. I'm going to deduct a star because the man in the cruise ship hat is who I believe to be owner, did not even acknowledge me - no hello, goodbye, thank you, nothing. This doesn't fare well in a small community.

Restaurant was empty since we came right at opening. It was clean and organized and the people serving us were nice and courteous. They even went to the extent of labelling our food individually as it would have been tough to tell which was which under all that delicious garlic sauce. Food was delicious and VERY generous. I can eat a lot, but barely finished my bowl of goodness. I'm not the biggest fan of Mediterranean food, but this is a place I would come back for future visits!

This place makes amazing shawarma wraps and bowls. Their royale bowls are amazing and allow you to customize the meat, veggies, other toppings, and sauces. I've tried their chicken, beef and lamb, and their mixed meat. I can say that the meat quality is always superb and their veggies are always fresh. I've order fries, onion rings, and mozzarella sticks from this place as well and I've always enjoyed them. For this order, I got a mixed grill shawarma bowl with lettuce and pickles, and garlic sauce. It was amazing as always. The meat was juicy and had a slight crisp on the edge. I had some mozarella sticks as well which came out really good. Other things I would recommend here: - Their queen chicken wrap, which is a smaller wrap that I would recommend if you aren't super hungry. They grill their wraps really nicely. - This place has surprisingly good wings! In my opinion, it rivals that of a dedicated wing place. I've only tried their bone-in wings. The staff here are great and very communicative. Whenever they're busy, they always tell me how long it's going to take for my order to finish. They get a lot of Uber Eats order so be mindful that during a rush the store might appear empty but they are very busy. This place has seating but I always get takeout. I placed an order for pickup on a food-delivery app for a Club Mix Wrap ("Pita and saj bread, chicken and lamb shawarma") and added Lettuce, Tomato, Onions, Parsley, Cucumber, Hot Sauce, Garlic Sauce, Tahini Sauce, and Pomegranate Molasses. (As an aside, I really hate it when joints like this don't have an option to just order a wrap or sandwich the way they think it should be made. How should I know what sauces or components work well together?) I arrived a short time later and stood at the counter for a solid minute before anyone offered to help, despite the fact that two separate people made eye contact with me. I'm going to chalk that blunder up to the fact that they just opened, however. I took my wrap home and it's good. The flavors are decent and the components work well together. I do have some complaints, however. I don't think the two separate breads do anything to enhance the concoction, while the meats, tender as they were, were completely lacking in the crispy bits one desires with good shawarma. Finally, the four sauces were just too overwhelming. The whole thing was swimming in sauce. Still, there's a lot of potential here and I'll certainly make an effort to give them another shot in a few weeks.

I've heard many good things about Zezafoun and was excited to finally try the place. The restaurant has about ~25 seats for customers indoors. They do have a small outdoor patio for when the weather gets warmer. Reservations are recommended during busy peak dinner or brunch times, however it is possible to get a table if you do walk in as well during non-peak times. I dined at Zezafoun with a party of 3 recently on a Sat evening. We didn't make reservations but walked in around 6:30 and was able to grab a table. It wasn't too busy that early in the evening but as the night went on the restaurant got busier. Service was great and friendly. Staff gave us plenty of time to decide what to order as well as gave us recommendations as well. The interior is warm and cozy. For drinks, I ordered the pomegranate juice which was unique and delicious. One member of my party ordered the rosewater and lemon juice which was refreshing and light. They also have Syrian coffee and tea as well on the menu which I will try next time! Food wise, we ordered and shared the following dishes: - Falafel plate (chickpeas patty fried and served with a side of tahini sauce) - Hummus (homemade chickpeas, tahini, lemon and garlic with a touch of olive oil) - Fattoush salad (Lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, radish with Zezafoun dressing topped with crispy pita bread) - Kebbeh labanyeh (beef kibbeh in a cooked garlic yogurt stew served with side rice) - Maldoum (beef kufta wrapped with delicious eggplants in tomato stew and served with a side of rice) - Makloubeh (layers of rice, eggplants, and ground beef with tomato sauce served with side yogurt or salad) Food was delicious and unique! I've never had authentic Syrian food like this before and it was a delight. The appetizers we shared (falafel, hummus, and salad) were great to start the meal. The hummus was creamy and the falafel was nice and crispy. The crispy pita bread in the fattoush salad gave the dish a textural contrast, In terms of our mains, all the dishes were tasty but I especially enjoyed the makloubeh!
