I was here recently with a local when I was in town. I will say to start off while The menu is small the food is excellent and affordable and the women who serve you may smell like stale cigarettes they hustle their butts off and never leave you waiting for anything. The down side is this place is filled with a lot of senior citizens and not a good place to pick up woman as it's mostly old men bickering with each other at the bar. Another thing I noticed while I was there was everyone was white no diversity, I thought it was strange but one of the older gentleman there said it was how most private clubs are, I'm not sure what he meant by that to be honest . Another thing I didn't like was there were no slot machines or any kind of gambling. The last time I was in a Private club they had all kinds of slot machines and gambling games. They complained about the club needing money but have no slot machines. I would recommend getting young members before the only ones there are dead or the place would be on serious trouble. They also allow RVS to park and use the facilities so if you are traveling by rv it's a nice place to stop it's in a good neighborhood too I'm told. read more

I love this bar! What a happy place to meet your friends have a few drinks and eat good southern food. Monday night wing night and they are so delicious you can't eat just one. One of the best private clubs I know of that has yummy prime rib on friday night and Rick Phillips performing in the social quarters from 4-6pm with that good old time Rock N Roll. I purchased several years in advance for my membership. When the men and women merged, I did not get a credit towards the new membership. Be careful, corporate has you paying again for your membership! Loved my staff there but very disappointed I was scammed. What a shame. Will be reporting to the BBB, IRS, and Attorney Generals office here in SC immediately. Also, Carole (630.966.2259) in corporate is awful, rude and flat out unprofessional. I loved this place! The staff are always hustling to get what's needed done. Yes; the system we live in doesn't support a lot of grateful guests. I have noticed that the members are polite and looking forward to inviting others to join in all of the fun festivities. Critics would notice there is a shortage of staff members, at every restaurant and business. I appreciate their attentiveness and service while taking care of my needs. The staff were probably guests at one time also; then; like others realize our lot in life is to "work" for a living. Getting employees to show up for work "on time" is a precious person. Been in murrells inlet for 4 months and we've had the worst service at the moose Lodge twice. It always seems to be the same team. I have eaten here many times but recently the food has taken a turn for the worst. The burgers that I use to enjoy have become frozen, mass produced hamburger patties that are over-cooked to the point of being crispy! Today 3 different things that we tried to order off of the menu were out of stock! We are starting to become disenchanted with one of our favorite places. Family are members here, so we dropped in a few nights. Certain nights are theme nights-karioke, horse races, ect.. The food is pretty good being its not a resturant. They usually have a dinner special, in addition to a full menu. The pizza is decent for southern pizza, and they have a pretty good selection of toppings available. The drinks are good, and cheap too! But as a non-member, you cannot purchase any.. Your 'host member' will need to do the ordering. One of the better 'fraternal' social clubhouses I've been too. The Lodge had great food and now is a used to be and offically a has been. The Lodge hired a cook that has destroyed a couple other establishments in her resume and continues to be consistent. You will never see her out of the kitchen asking members about their meal, probably afraid of getting an honest answer. Obviously she has something on her boss or the Board of Directors. yep you got it right, for a fun monday night with wings to wednesday night with dj bingo, and not to leave out fantastic fridays with rick phillips singing all your oldies but goodies, country, and takes songs by request. i love this bar. the waitresses are so friendly and do their best to please. always something fun going on at the moose where friends meet in lonely places and are like a big family. read more
