Part of his sales pitch was that they were the only ones he had ready to go - all other choices would have to be brought in. I went back at the appointed pick up time and the car was not ready. The reason, Bob said, was that it took longer than expected to get the tires in. I felt like, to him, I was just another sucker to be played. -------------------- The next day.... After this review was posted I got a call from Dennis, the manager at Victoria Toyota. He assured me that he had spoken to his staff about my complaint and that as far as he could see it was just a misunderstanding. I appreciate the effort to reach out.

The salesman was kinda continuously pushing for a new car purchase at first (who wants to wait) as used prices are almost the price of new, but he eventually listen to the customer and we got dibs on this fine automotive piece of technology. "Sales advisor" I guess they are called now was patient, understanding, friendly, didn't give off those used salesman vibes, and was respectful of my wife. A real gentleman. His name is Greg. The sales manager was a gem, totally relatable, honest and down to earth for a young guy. I heard the last one had some issues. Hearsay perhaps. But this team currently is great. They keep prices competitive and serve the Victoria community well I believe. I had a few snigles with some of the technology issues but overall I'd recommend the Patterson Automotive Group be given a chance to shine. My only real disappointment was that I placed a deposit online the night before then there was some equivocalness withrepect to someone else already being promised the car. Seems a bit dastardly unless it was a sales ploy to generate some kind of FOMO thing. I don't know. Perhaps that's something their administration should address.

The air filters looked like they had never been changed out, a large rats nest was behind the cabin filter. the oil needed changing, the rear brakes need replacing, the interior was filthy aside from what looked like a surface wipe-down and to top it all off, we discovered that it needs the transmission replaced to the tune of $8000! We assumed as a dealership and not just a private seller, they would look over their cars to ensure they are in sellable condition. The guys in Victoria were quick to respond to texts, emails and phone calls. After everything was said and done on the sales side, dealing with their business manager, Adam, was absolutely a pleasure and extremely fast. I always taken any car I…read moreowned to any non-chain mechanic shop that was recommended to me, but after acquiring a used Chevrolet vehicle there was a manufacturer-recommended part-replacement, so we brought that to Wheaton and since then we bring it in for every scheduled maintenance (which, for our vehicle, is every six months). My experience is that everyone in service department we have met is friendly, honest and above all ....knowledgeable. If I did ever want to go buy a new car, this feeling of trust would rub off onto the sales department, but, as they're maintaining our Chevy very well, this may be awhile as I only like to buy a new car when the old one has "died" which all cars, eventually, will do not until after, hopefully, 20+ years!
