They removed all 4 wheels and said our brakes were good. They charged us for inspecting the brakes but were honest about the fact that our brakes were good. When we got home we brought the van to our regular mechanic. They confirmed what Fairfield mechanic had said and replaced the brake sensors which solved the problem. It was scary to have mechanical trouble while traveling and on a limited time schedule. They were kind and honest. We are so grateful that Fairfield auto helped us when we were far from home!

Back in February 21/24 my Dodge Dakota was rear-ended and left me with a protruding out of shape…read morerear bumper. Reported the incident to ICBC immediately and was given the green light to have the bumper replaced. Long story short, I had tried three well known body shops in town which all had long waiting periods for the initial appointments. One after the other gave me the same story we can't find a replacement for the year of this truck. I am now at my wits end and driving on my way home I thought to stop at Craftsman Collision in retrospect I should have tried first. Fast forward four months later after getting the runaround from the other body shops I met with estimator Riley at CC and explained my situation. He immediately got his manager Matt Greenberg involved and within 10 minutes he had procured an aftermarket bumper that matched the original. Matt is a young and personable manager with very good and resourceful connections. Throughout the process his staff were cordial and responsive. After a few days in the shop I had a straight and shiny looking like new bumper. This is a very busy shop but if you want the job done right I highly recommend Matt and his capable staff to look after your vehicle.

This one actually started that way, the first time i came to Autospiel was for a coolant leak that ended up being the water pump... That was expensive and i wasn't happy. But i had to accept that it was me who purchased a 2005 BMW X5 in 2018, things are going to fail. The next day however the leaking continued, actually worse, and my instinct was to get upset and assume they over charged me for shitty work. It took a few days but they did fix it, it was a faulty replacement pump and to be fair they made it right. Zoom ahead to last week and I decided to save some money and take my X5 to a GUY i know and let him fix my leaking valve cover gasket and stripped gears in my transfer case actuator.... both simple jobs, he said it would be around $600 total. One week later after escalating issues and problems (his, not my cars) the bill is up to $1800 and the engine is covered in oil, i'm Smoking out of every part of the car driving down the road and the 4x4 is still not working, actually his new estimate is more parts and another $700 or more to fix it (i already gave him the new gears for it). Sorry long story, IN SHORT, i got the X5 back, drove straight to Autospiel, they were busy but found time over the next couple days to look at it, sorted the issues and fixed my 4X4 with the original parts and only charged me $350 to fix everything, wash my car and give me piece of mind!!! These guys are worth the wait and the cost if you want anything done right. I will not make the mistake of going elsewhere again with my BMW or MERC (i'll Probably bring my Converse here too when they wear out) As for the costs, hey we are the idiots who buy German and European cars, if the parts are expensive that's our fault not their's.
