I…read morelive in a condo and he is well known here with the management (which can be sometimes difficult to work with), so I picked him because he had the ability to cut through the red tape that our association has and he was recommended by others in the building. I wanted new bathrooms, flooring, lights, toilets, cabinets, and other amenities installed for both the master and guest bathrooms and we wanted granite counter tops. I then thought since we were doing new flooring in the bathrooms we should also do new floors for the entry way and kitchen too. Ron took notes on what we wanted, then he gave us a contract that we felt was very fair, and agreed to have his company do our project. As homeowners, I felt that we had a part to do in getting our unit ready for his crew to come in and do the work. I arranged easy access to where his crew needed to work in our unit (by moving furniture, and doing what we needed to do so everything would go smoothly). We could have had the work done while occupying our unit, but I was afraid the noise would scare our animals so I arranged us to live at our in laws place for the three weeks it would take for the project to be completed. (they were out of town in Arizona) After we saw Ron's proposal, we had a limit on what we could spend for certain items, and it worked well, because Ron deals with very good suppliers that he has good relationships with and everyone he referred us to (all his contacts) helped us and gave us the best service possible. We picked out the cabinets, all the bathroom accessories, the flooring, and the timing of the supplies we needed all came together perfectly. We had zero delays and the work was performed expertly. In my minds eye I had a vision of how things would look like when the project was completed as soon as I signed the papers. I was not disappointed at all....the completed project came in under budget, and was finished on time. Once everything was done they had even cleaned up so our unit looked even better than before they started the project. We had one small problem with our cabinet handles, and minor items that needed addressing, and his crew came in and we are very happy with Ron and his team. I highly recommend Ron and his crew to do any work that needs done in your house or condo. He takes great pride in a job well done. I cannot say enough good things about him, and I am so happy with our new bathrooms. Probably will have him do new kitchen cabinets and design next but that will be in a year or two. It is clear he has years of experience in kitchen remodels, and had a solution to virtually anything this project threw our way. Our project was more than a cosmetic job - it was studs-out. We took out two (non-structural) walls, removed layers of old flooring, added a large window while sealing off another, and did HVAC work with Tim - all in addition to what you'd expect a kitchen remodel to include. In total I think there was close to two tons of material removed from the house. Tim has a team of subcontractors who provide demolition, tiling, drywalling, electric, plumbing, and countertop installation services. We had positive experiences with most of the subcontractors - the electrician did have to come back several times to fix issues but they were all resolved. Tim was regularly on site to supervise the work of the subcontractors and always available by text/call. There were definitely a few bumps and unexpected surprises along the way (it happens with old houses!), but Tim handled everything with honesty and reassurance. We have worked with other contractors who become quickly defensive when errors are pointed out or last minute changes are made, but Tim was the opposite - he owned any issues that came up and was able to make adjustments along the way without any hassle. Tim is trustworthy, which goes a long way in a total kitchen gut and remodel. Tim was clear about payment deadlines and provided itemized invoices as the project progressed. He was transparent with any overages and was willing to talk though invoice details if needed. We found the prices to be very fair. Our project landed within 10% of the original estimate. The project was also completed on time - precisely to the timeline provided at the beginning of the project, which is an incredible feat. There were people working here every day (even sometimes on the weekend, which we agreed to) making sure the work was moving along. Tim also kept an open line of contact after the project was completed in case there were any small details that needed to be ironed out. We recommend NW HomeWorks with confidence. We asked them to match the existing floor tiles and paint colors so we wouldn't have to rip up the entire bathroom, and they accomplished this seamlessly. They produced high-quality work and were incredibly helpful in communicating to our insurance claims adjustor and our mold remediation company. They were also very flexible and understanding when our mold remediation company failed to dry out our bathroom enough for ARDS to start their work. ARDS called the mold remediation company to explain the situation and then rescheduled to come back out once the bathroom was completely dry.
