Aromatherapy isn't a fancy word for anything. Aromatherapy is quite extensive and it has healing properties beyond even what I had imagined. When done correctly, aromatherapy actually has some of the most powerful healing properties that exist on this planet. And guess what? Most of them don't come from simply inhaling them! Certification is broken down into 2 parts at AAHAA - level 1 and level 2. Neither one of these is anything to take lightly. AAHAA is nothing to take lightly either; not only is AAHAA certified by the National Association of Holistic Aromatherapy as a qualified school, but the instructor (Shanti Dechen) is widely versed in healing modalities. These modalities range from clinical sciences to over 15,000 hours in body/mind therapies. Shanti is readily available, encouraging and very thorough in her approach. She is genuinely interested in her students' success and obviously takes pride in her teachings. Unfortunately for Austin, AAHAA relocated from Austin to Crestone this year. But just like I did, you can still take many of her certifications, workshops and courses online - it gives you lots of time flexibility with the same exact amount of support and information. Even with the limited amount of snowfall this season, there were ample trails to enjoy and pretty views to take in. We opted for the Beginners Lesson Package and our instructor, Shane, was phenomena! After the lesson we ventured out alone for a nice two hour XC experience. The equipment was top notch, the trails were well-groomed and the staff exceptional!
