The food tasted really good but my partner thought the fish was a bit oily but when I was eating it tasted ok to me. It wasn't until the car ride home that my tummy started to disagree with all the oil I had eaten. Besides this factor it is differently worth the drive out. To have a nice meal with an amazing view. Another plus is that it has Eftpos. (Most small Fish and Chip place are still cash only) They had really good vaule for money. As our fish and chips was enough for two people. The outside area overlooking the ocean is a bit dirty... the tables needed cleaning and while I ordered cod... the fish tasted not so cod. If you get what I'm saying. I'm not saying that what they gave me wasn't cod... I'm just saying it tasted like a cod 'basa' fish. The view is spectacular, so it is a pity my latest and probably last experience for a while wasn't as up to par as I'd thought it previously to be. Surprised as there are normally lots more persons at the grill. The food which was mainly prepared in front of you and was part of the "show" was missing, being mostly pre-prepared before hand. Now to the food, mostly overcooked and soaked in teppanyaki sauce. You could not tell the difference between the chicken and bug meat, all tasted the same (soaked teppanyaki sauce) salmon overcooked and soaked in sauce. Scallops were dry and tasted of teppanyaki sauce as did the prawns. Maybe we were spoiled by the original master chef Kim, but we will not be going back to the Teppanyaki grill. we used to take international visitors to the grill , was the best but unfortunately, no more.
