My doctor isn't that patient! Then I was off to accounting for payment options if I needed any financial assistance etc. Very knowledgeable young lady. The procedure I had done was as close to painless as it could get. The caring dental assistant repeatedly asked me how I was doing while the dentist did his thing. Outstanding care. So I have decided to expand on my review a bit I paid up front for my procedure and was assured I was good to go, after wards I was informed that the wrong tooth had been filled and that was a "freebie" then was charged 400 $ after I was told I was paid up. Upon receiving my bill I called the local office to find out why this mystery bill had showed up whoever I talked to said they would look into it and gave me his personal guarantee that it would stay out of collections until the investigation process was complete. One week later a collections notice shows up. Just stay away from this place, unless you're into laziness, incompetence, and lies.

I've had nearly all my…read morebaby teeth pulled because they wouldn't fall out soon enough on their own, so I've had plenty of undesirable experiences in the dentist's office, but the Rohrer Center was by far the worst. I got braces from Dr. Rohrer when I was in high school. At that age, I had bad canker sores, and these were only made worse by metal braces gouging the insides of my lips, and thus, it became very painful to talk, eat, and brush my teeth. At times, my canker sores would be as big as dimes, and I'd have as many as 5 active in my mouth at once. The Rohrer center did give me and endless array of creams and pills and whatnot to attempt to curb my canker sores, but nothing worked. To this end the staff, mostly Dr Rohrer would pick on me about not brushing well enough. They even went so far as to make it clear that my teeth weren't going to be good enough to be on their wall of tacky polaroids. Their "before and after" pictures of successful brace work. In addition, after two years of torture in my mouth, we reached the endpoint of the process. Dr Rohrer revised his estimate, and said that my braces needed six more months of time, to correct an invisible minor overlap of two of my lower incisors. Invisible from the front, this was definitely not a cosmetic necessity, and since my bite was perfect, and none of my teeth hit when I closed my mouth, there was no need. I had to nearly yell at him to get him to take the braces off. It was an extremely unpleasant experience, and now roughly 10 years later, that minor overlap is still there, and it is still invisible, and it is still not a problem what so ever. I think he just wanted another easy $5000 for the next six months of brace work. What a jerk. I'll say this. I think the Rohrer center is technically competent, but the Doctor - patient relationship should never involve belittling or intimidating patients and certainly not lack compassion. Especially when the patient is a child and can't defend himself, nor choose to go elsewhere. It may seem like I'm being harsh, but Doctors are given a LOT of trust and even minor abuse of that role, especially with children, is absolutely outrageous. I still cringe and feel sick to my stomach when I drive past their hole in the wall office.

My family cannot recommend the Rohrer Center more. Moreover, we get to visit Sammy's Pizza after all appointments--a real treat. Update: My son is on his final leg of a long and arduous series of surgeries and treatments with results nearing perfection. We extend our sincere gratitude and highest recommendation to the Rohrer Center. We will sorely miss Sammy's in Winona.
