Massage can sometimes be a very vulnerable experience, especially if you're hurting, but she is extremely knowledgeable, kind, and reassuring. My sister warned her in advance I liked a medium to firm massage and Julia did just that - perfect pressure.... PLUS hot stones. I had never had a hot stone full body massage before and it was absolutely delightful. Complete relaxation. The office is in a big office building, but the massage room is in a room with tall ceilings, exposed brick, chairs, candles, music, and aromatherapy heaven. I immediately felt at ease in that room. Located next to the West Shore Hospital Emergency Room (where you should head for more serious ailments), the Walk-In is spacious, clean, and efficient. I've never had to wait more than 15 minutes between the time of arrival and being seen by a doctor. Even if they are out of network for your health insurance, the cost for services is relatively reasonable. I tend to be skittish about the seeing the doctor, but the environment here is straightforward and calm. Although I've only visited for acute issues, I think that you can also schedule pre-arranged appointments for more routine procedures like physicals and immunizations.
