I felt like I could have shared this with my husband and it would have been enough to feed the both of us. Service: friendly!

We ordered -fried rice with chicken (3/5) - pretty heavy on rice and cabbage compared to any other ingredients, very mild, but enjoyed it enough. The baby corn in this and the veggies dish tasted weird, like a fermented / canned flavor (not "fish sauce fermented" - we love that - but like "accidentally overripe fruit fermented"). It wasn't great but I was hungry enough I could overlook it. -pad Thai with chicken (3/5) - nothing special but went down easy -stir fried veggies (#34, I think) (4/5) - vegetables pleasant and fresh tasting, except for the baby corn, see above). -pineapple juice - kiddo ordered this, it disappeared quickly -Thai green iced tea (1/5) - strong off putting medicinal flavor, like aspartame, couldn't drink this -yuzu gin cocktail - husband ordered this, it disappeared quickly Huge portions, as others have noted. We came hungry, but we could have only ordered two items for the three of us and still had leftovers. Overall, pretty middling for Thai food, but we were hungry and they took us in, which for a night where most places had no space was good enough.

Once you pick your way through scaffolding and construction material you will begin to think the directions were wrong...but press on through the forbidding and hazardous walking areas and you will chance upon this gem on the right hand side. Nice ambience, indoors and outdoors. Extremely welcoming staff. We were greeted and seated promptly (had made a reservation) and offered the wine list and menu. The charming waitress who attended on us was new and so a bit unfamiliar with the menu. But our maitre'd was fantastic and knowledgeable. We ordered Satay, Spring Rolls and Coconut Chicken Soup for starters and Tofu+Veggie Paenang Curry, Mussaman Curry and Beef Curry for the Mains. Food arrived promptly and was served very artistically. Tastes were just divine! Very sophisticated. We requested spicy and the flavors and heat were spot on! We rounded off the meal with a fantastic Thai pancake dessert, that came with Coconut ice cream, exotic fruits (Mango, Dragon Fruit and Lychee). All in all a wonderful experience-a place worth returning to again and again. Great service, excellent food and a nice way to round off a chilly København night! Kudos to the owners and staff of Khun Juk!

First of all, the service is amazing. The two men were super friendly and welcoming. One of them even walked us outside to say bye to us. The menu has a full page for vegetarian options, which was incredible to see. I chose the Massaman Curry and it was flavorful and delicious. The ambiance is quiet and cozy. Most people would want to sit outside, and we did as well for two nights. But this is a nice indoor restaurant when you want a bit of upscale and quiet time. The food is amazing. Highly recommend it.

Would I burst the five-star bubble by writing a two-star review?…read more Pretty much. I honestly don't know why people give this place five-stars, I mean - people, go to Thailand and taste real Thai food, then you would know that there's a world difference to Thai food mostly served here, especially in take away places. Then again, it's those Scandinavian tastebuds that trick you, isn't it? I'm still on a constant hunt to find a good Thai take away place in Amager. I mean Kiin Kiin is alright, but it's so damn expensive for a take away, so being the cheapskate I am - I want to find a nice cheap one that doesn't wander off too much from the original taste. People reviewing Wanthana's were saying praise about Massaman curry, so Massaman with beef (you can have it with chicken or tofu) was it that I ordered. Service was quick, efficient and polite - there were no other customers that late Tuesday night so I got my stuff right after I finished my stroll at Holmbladsgade to do some other errand. Taste? The curry itself is alright, but the filling was disappointing. I don't know how lazy you could get with your cooking? But it was just shreds of meat that's probably been sitting too long in a pot (not in a good way like Rendang), and just those small potatoes cut in two. Whut. There were some cashews thrown in here and there and giant shreds of onion. I am not sure if this what the other five-star reviewer also received, if yes - shame on you people! :P No seriously, how could you get even lazier than this? I like to cook potatoes in curry as well, but at least I peeled them off (yes yes, small potatoes need not to be unskinned!) and cut them into smaller pieces so the curry soaks more into the potatoes. Don't even get me started on the meat. Then again, a portion of 80kr (including rice) I couldn't really justify that, could I? At least they could have done the filling better. It doesn't have to be fancy, but it has to be tasting good and average or mediocre was what that came to mind last night when I ate them. I'm a lazy cook, and I can do better than this. PS: and the three chili symbol "stærk" thing? Didn't even feel it at all.
