My family has been using Larisa's notary services and translations for over 20 years. She has…read morehelped us with many notarized documents over the years, in many cases, we needed to use the documents in Ukraine or translate and notarize Ukrainian documents. In our experience, Larisa's work has always been of excellent quality. She demonstrated up to date knowledge on relevant regulations, standards and requirements, and always provided helpful advice on the best way to achieve our goals. We find Larisa's work of great value. The rate is very affordable. Larisa also provides professional assistance to people from Ukraine who were displaced by the war. Larisa is a highly reliable, knowledgeable and empathetic notary professional and I highly recommend her services.

I would like to share a NEGATIVE experience with notary Larisa Bershader…read more My mom went to her to get a power of attorney, which I then sent to Russia. At first, everything seemed fine. However, three months later, when a deal for selling my mom's house in Russia was supposed to take place, it fell through because Larisa refused to provide her notary details for the Russian bank. The regulations in Russia had changed, and now they require a special form to be completed by the notary to verify their authenticity. When my mom came back to Larisa with this request, she flat-out refused. But the worst part was not even that! Instead of acting professionally, Larisa began to insult my mom personally. She started commenting on the fact that my mom is from Russia, that she is selling a house and will get money, while boasting that she herself came to the U.S. 35 years ago with only $300. She went on to say that people from Russia are "bad," brought up Crimea, and even claimed that my mom lives off her tax money with benefits and insurance -- which is absolutely not true, since my mom pays taxes herself. This was not only unprofessional but deeply offensive. My mom left in tears, humiliated and devastated, and the deal was ruined. It was a terrible experience! Not only did the transaction fall through, but my mom was subjected to insults and left in emotional distress. I strongly do not recommend this notary!

5 years ago, Emily at Multilingual Tech did a notarized translation of a county issued document…read morefrom English to Chinese needed for a matter in Taiwan. It was a very positive experience working with her then - outstanding communications, very reasonable price, and fast turnaround. It turned out I needed 2 more notarized copies of the same document now, and I worked with Jonathan on this. Again - great communications. They still had the translation in their computer system, and generated it very quickly at an extremely reasonable price. Company is very professional and a pleasure to work with.

Edit 11/28/24: The business confirmed they received my Zelle and have refunded it back to me today…read more Considering reservations businesses may have, I am glad they followed up with my initial review and the refund. Would recommend them to anyone needing translation services. I was in urgent need of translating my marriage certificate from English to traditional Chinese. And by urgent, I mean on a Monday night ~4pm needing it the next two days. I reached out to Multilingual Technologies on Yelp for a quote, and they responded very quick, asking me to email them my document and they would give me a quote and turnaround time. After emailing them my document, I got a fast response with a $80 quote for the translation and notarization. Like how other reviews mention, their prices really are outstanding and cannot be beaten by other places around. The person I was talking to even offered to email me a proof of the translation by 11am the next day (Tuesday), and I could pick up the paperwork by Wednesday first thing in the morning when their office opens (10am). These were without any additional cost. So for service, pricing and turnaround time-wise, this place is pretty solid and I would recommend. The reason I took 2 stars off, is because of the payment issue. In the email, the person asked me to send the payment via Zelle or Paypal, since they do not take credit cards. I immediately sent the Zelle payment to the listed email, and the payment was taken out of my bank account. An hour later, the person emailed me back saying they have not received the payment yet and is asking me to investigate. From previous experience, it has happened with my bank (Bank of America) where they might take a few business days for the Zelle payment to send to a "new" recipient for security purposes; also, depending on the recipient's bank, it could take a few days to clear as well. I even called my bank and confirmed this and sent Multilingual Technologies my payment confirmation twice; but on their end, since they have not received the payment at the time of me picking up the documents on Wednesday morning, I was told to pay cash. Since I was in urgent need, I paid cash at the time of pickup, but I also noted to the person at the office (Jonathan) of the situation with the Zelle payment and asked them to please send the payment back to me when it goes through, since I have now double-paid. As of today 11/22/24, I still have not received the payment back from Multilingual Technologies. I am hoping 1. moving forward, for future customers they can also note that the payment can be done in cash as well - I would have went with this method instead of paying via Zelle; and 2. send me my payment back when it does go through.

I pride myself on knowing the different pastas without asking the server when dining at an Italian…read morerestaurant. Agnolotti, cavatelli, bucatini -- the list goes on! my love for perfectly al dente pasta knows no bounds. Well, the problem became apparent when we booked our trip to Italy a couple of months ago. I freaked out because my Italian is non-existent and so... HOW THE HECK AM I GOING TO ORDER A COCKTAIL AT THE BAR?!?! * well, you speak English of course! * I wanted to be able to confidently order in their language and sure, I can Rosetta Stone my way into learning Italian, but why not learn it from a REAL live Italian? Idesli offers Italian classes twice a week, but it didn't work with my schedule. Carla, the director, was flexible and accommodating. She worked with me to find a schedule that would fit and answered emails promptly. I got six private, 1.5 hour sessions at a fair price. My instructor, Valentina, is patient, kind and engaging. I learned so much with the personalized attention and she always encouraged me to email her if I had any questions. Learning another language is hard! It's like learning how to walk all over again. I'm planning to continue where we left off when I get back from my trip to Italy. I can say that in the short time I've had with Valentina, she taught me the most valuable lesson one can ever learn: the difference of intonation. Did you know that in Italian, penne = pasta, but pene = penis? o_0 You can't exactly order "pene" at a restaurant, right?

I just finished a 10 lesson Spanish package with IDESLI and had a great experience…read more A little background on me: I minored in Spanish and studied abroad in Chile during college but found myself a few years out and faltering in my language abilities. I was presented with the opportunity to travel to Bogota, Colombia for work and began taking lessons with IDESLI to get back up to speed. I can confidently say that after 9 lessons I felt so much more confident in my Spanish abilities. My instructor Monica gave me great feedback and mixed the classes up with conversation, practices, and lessons. She gave me some great resources I can use later on as well. After these lessons I have used my Spanish so much more, in my professional as well as personal life, than I would have prior. I highly recommend IDESLI to anyone looking to take private Spanish lessons in the Bay Area. The private attention I received rivaled any college class I took. This is truly a great value. If I ever find myself needing to freshen up my abilities or to advance my abilities I will be going back to IDESLI.
