After moving to California a year after graduating I started a furniture manufacturing company with my brother in a 3 car garage in Fresno, Ca. After growing it into a 15 million a year company sold it after 15 years. Took 5 years off then opened a retail operation and now after 13 years of struggling would give my left arm to be out. They came home every day talking about politics and random Bible teachings that I've never heard of, did some investigating and this was borderline grooming! After two years of this school threatening to suspend and expel my kids I promptly removed them and brought them back to the public school system which was MUCH better.

It's not the sterile environment I saw in many other preschools. The kids all seem happy and content, that's a biggie. The owner, though I only met her once, was very caring, accommodating and capable. The teachers and assistants my little charge had were wonderful. Mrs R. especially. They thought the basics with love and a firm hand when needed. I particularly liked the gentle emphasis they put on respect and obedience. I also did not notice any favoritism on the part of any teachers, not an easy thing to do in this line of work. There were lots of extracurricular activities and field trips, holiday parties etc...where parent participating was encouraged, and indeed many of the parents got to know each other well. On the whole it really felt like an extended family. I wish I could have sent my kids here , 20 yrs ago, but I couldn't even get on the waiting list, they had no room! This place has been around a very long time, and always had a great reputation. I really feel it's the next best thing to home!

Our son was enrolled at this daycare from approximately 6 months old until 2.5 years old. For most…read moreof that time, our experience was acceptable. That changed following a leadership transition, when the full-time director went on leave and an acting director assumed responsibility. During this period, several concerns arose. Most notably, our son was removed from his classroom and placed into a younger class so that the classroom teacher could supervise her 9-year-old son, who was present on school grounds but is not enrolled at the daycare. This occurred during normal operating hours and included times when routine care was taking place, including diaper changes, while the unenrolled child was present in the classroom. We were informed of this by administration and personally observed the unenrolled child on site. As a result, our son missed instructional time in his assigned, age-appropriate classroom. Shortly afterward, we were informed in writing that our son's continued enrollment required providing a full-time one-on-one aide. Our son has a speech delay and receives early intervention speech services; however, licensed medical and developmental professionals evaluated him and determined that he did not qualify for, or require, a one-on-one aide. When we explained that we could not meet this requirement, we asked hypothetically whether our son would be permitted to remain enrolled if a one-on-one aide were provided. We were told that he would not. Our requests for clarification did not result in further discussion. His enrollment was then ended, and no alternative accommodations were discussed prior to this decision. This resulted in sudden loss of childcare. We are sharing our experience so other families can make informed decisions, particularly those with young children who receive early intervention services or may require additional support.

It is truly a unique and wonderful way to meet like-minded parents and join a community of your child's friends and classmates. I really look forward to my "Special Days", where I get to spend the day in the classroom with my daughter, chat with her friends and see what goes on in her school. Then when she comes home talking about her day or her friends, I really know what or who she is talking about and it's wonderful to share that world with her. My third child is now in the 3's class, with Miss Susan and Miss Lisa. I can't say enough about their love and respect for our children as little people. Education is play-based, always with humor and understanding, and in the spirit of fun. Family events are organized regularly, and we remain friends with families whose children have moved on to elementary school. From the day I registered my son for class, both the class teachers sent me a long e-mail introducing themselves, why they love teaching, and info on their background. That was just the beginning of weekly email correspondence I get from them. Each week, they email us exactly what they did in class (from reading, writing, Math, Science to yoga and baking). This emails also include pictures of the kids doing their daily activities. The emails are so detailed, I have used some of the activities that they outlined to reinforce what my son learned in school. Learning happens through exploration and the kids have so much fun. When the teachers get my son from my car at drop off, he is smiling ear to ear. He loves going to school. I was also particularly impressed on how they clean their tables and chairs before snacks and lunch. I was there to celebrate my sons birthday and the staff was exceptional to the kids.
