I had bathroom floors tiled a kitchen back splash tiled and all carpet replaced in my home. Two different contractors for each job that Morris Floors works with. I had heard of Morris Floors from a few friends that had used them over the last two years or so ,and they had nothing but good things to say about them and each friend recommended we go with this company if we decided to tile. They were the first place I looked and the easily recognizable box stores were my second and third stop. Morris Floors is competitive with prices but not cheap. Having said that, you will notice the difference in the skill if you have had a bad experience with other places. I have heard horror stories from people who have used the box stores so not really wanted to use them, and having never used Morris Floors before, I was going exclusively off my friends advice. I had no such bad experience. It was pain free and the mess that comes with construction like this was cleaned up in no time and we were back to our normal routine. I would also like to say that the contractors that worked at my house were very professional and efficient. Someone was always there working and they were on time until the job was done. I usually don't take time to comment on every good experience I have when dealing with a business, but this company deserved a few good words from a very satisfied customer. We hired Morris Floors and Interiors Inc. to do a major installation (3 levels) of wood floors, tile, cork and carpeting. Michael Spidell was our project manager and he was exceptionally competent, responsible, easy to work with and honest. We highly recommend him. Whenever we had a question (and there were many) he was extremely responsive. He got back to us almost immediately and on many occasions, he went out of his way to research things he didn't know. He understood every aspect of the project and we trusted him so much that we gave him the keys to our house and let him and his crew work their magic while we were out of town for almost the entire time they were working on our house. Michael laid out the predicted timeline for this large job and finished the project on the day he originally promised. The crew was great. They were very respectful of our property and did a wonderful job. There were a few touch-ups needed after completion and Michael saw to it personally that all of those were taken care of. I hired Morris Interiors to resurface the face, mantle, and hearth of my fireplace. My house is 101 year old Craftsman. The ceramic tiles were custom made in Michigan. I needed tile installers who understood the nuance of the "period." Mike's guys worked with me every step of the project. They translated my wishes into the exact result I was hoping for. Mike did a great job of coordinating the entire job. His installers were 1st rate. They were flexible and professional. From start to finish they were great! I can tell you, I have been disappointed in the past with sloppy work and a general "tone deafness" from even modest projects in the past. It's nice to know I can hire an outfit right here in Whatcom County to work on the interior of my house. It wasn't inexpensive--but there were no surprises. Great job all-around. Michael Spidell was super nice, and the work crew were, too. Very professional. Our hard wood floors had not been well taken care of by the previous owner, and had not been refinished since 1996 (when the house was built). We had them re-sanded then re-finished, and I couldn't be happier with the results. During the work, a piece of a baseboard was lost/broken, and the crew took an existing piece of the baseboard and matched it to a new piece which they bought at Lowe's (maybe Home Depot). Price-wise, they were the cheapest by far. One local company had quoted us at twice the cost of Morris's quote, which I suspect is because that company subcontracts somebody like Morris. read more

In 2011 my husband and I contracted with Morris Floors to add a room of 3/4 inch thick oak flooring to our existing rooms, interweave these new boards with the old, sand everything, stain our previously bleached floors a nice medium brown, and apply a Swedish finish. This included a flight of stairs, an upstairs landing, 2 hallways, a kitchen, a living room and dining room. We aren't easy people. I was very happy with Morris Floors. I have already recommended them to a neighbor. Their workers did an excellent job on a luxury vinyl floor. Since it was laid over an old floor, and there is a central vacuum system, adjustments needed to be made to compensate for the new level. All was done expertly. Morris Floors has plenty of choices with a fine price range. I ordered a new carpet for one of our bedrooms and it was installed in one day after the carpet arrived.
