Checking around there are not many places that do this kind of work anymore. Decided to go to Hasting Shoe Service since they are only 20 minutes away. Up front they provided an estimate for cost and time that was right on the money. They not only did an excellent job of applying the new soles but took the time to completely recondition the leather (using Neatsfoot oil I think) so that my boots look nearly new. I can't say enough good things about this place. Their work is top notch.

Extremely rude and unprofessional. Verified my insurance information a couple weeks before my…read moreappointment and when I show up, I'm told that my wife doesn't show to have coverage and my insurance shows to be inactive. After saying that I had used the same insurance prior and that my wife was just added to the policy. First snotty comment that comes out of the persons mouth while rolling her eyes is "well we don't just bill to nowhere that's not how it works, so you will have to pay out of pocket or schedule another appointment". Very aggravating, so after this person stared at her computer for several minutes, she said my insurance is inactive and I needed my vision card. A vision card is not an actual thing unless your medical and vision is through the same company, which mine is not. I do not know anyone that has a vision card but apparently unless it's tied to a medical card, but you would think someone who does this for a job would know that. After telling me that I didn't come prepared and there is nothing she can do it was evident that this person did not know how to do her job, but she is going to blame me for the incompetence. Very upsetting when time was taken off from work for both of us. Other employees were laughing at me because I was upset which just goes to show the type of people they have working here. Called the insurance company and was told that everyone is listed on the policy with no issues and said she would call Shopko to figure out what they're issue is, but when the person returned, I was told that Shopko stated I didn't give them any information when they didn't ask. This is an in-network provider. I called another vision place that I have never been too, and they found my policy and insurance coverage in 30 seconds with just a couple easy questions answered. Literally just the dumbest interaction and situation I have dealt with in a long time to the point that it felt like a prank. We were both going to spend a lot of money that day buy a couple pairs of ray-bans and upgraded lenses but the employees I guess need a vision card that doesn't exist. Like I told the person there Zero Stars.

Bought 2 brand new Treks from here very recently which was the first time buying a new bike in many…read moreyears. Barely ridden the derailed bound and broke. Bike showed a scar that it was on the ground but this had nothing to do with it since it was at a different time. Most probable cause with less than 4 miles on the bike was the limit screw was not set correctly when I bought it and the result was as expected from that. derailleur sucked up into my spokes causing paint damage and the derailleur to snap off. Dropped the bike off and was happy I had bought it from a bike shop and not Walmart for service. Service was great, they took the bike and had it fixed the next day. Bad part is they took no responsibility for what happened and charged me 60 bucks to replace a 25 dollar part. I unfortunately regret buying my bikes there and they lost me as a customer for life. I need two more bikes for my kids but they will be purchased out of town somewhere else whom hopefully will stand by their product and more importantly their work.

It's clean, stocked well and carries good quality products…read more Every time I'm in town I make it a point to stop in because this store reminds me of a fleet farm that meets a lowes home improvement store! They carry some of the best brands in the industry for a great price. The last time I was in I was looking for cracked corn for the deer that roam the back woods of the yard. I found exactly what I was looking for and they carried a 30 pound bag for $6. That's not a bad price at all for cracked corn. In our 30 minutes in the store we were asked 3 times if we needed help with anything. Even though we did not need help I did appreciate them asking. Overall just a really good store that carries some good quality products. No cheap off brands sold here.
