Selected law firm at random to handle brother's estate - which was a HUGE mistake. While we did…read moreinterview law firm associate, process was significantly more expensive than our "all inclusive" quote and experienced multiple clerical and filing issues with simple details like addresses and names (received emails addressed to our deceased brother!) among others. Initial cost was $5000 - which had to be paid out of pocket, up front, and probably was a red flag we ignored. Got hit with another $2000 court fee that I don't remember hearing about, for a total cost of $7000 to file the 6-8 documents that the court required. At nearly $1000 per page of information - which we had to already provide, seems a steep cost for their efforts. Not only was this was a lengthy (over 18 month) and expensive endeavor dealing with the additional legal issues was very draining.
