My dog Hazel was very sick and hasn't eaten for days. I began to freak out because she loves her food. I could tell her personality changed like she was a complete different animal. I called up to Morris & they were worried aswell & squeezed me in their schedule that same day. Got lots of info from Dr at my visit and he told me what to do moving forward with medication. I just love Morris Vet!! I drive to Rayville just to have him as a Vet for my babies! Chris and his staff are always nice and welcoming whether you're an old or new client. Brought my Golden Retriever in for an arthritis shot. 48 hours later her head was hanging down, could not raise her head and blind in her left eye. Dr. Chris Morris is my 6 Chihuahuas Vet doctor. He is so affectionate with pets. I will never let any Vet doctor treat my 6 fur-chi's but Dr. Morris. Dr. Morris, in my opinion, is extremely compassionate and thorough! He took X-rays and explained our yorkie had end stage pulmonary disease. I had brought my baby to him for a second opinion. All he really needed to do was to listen to Toby's heart and lungs which were working extremely hard to take in any air. Tears rushed to his eyes as he explained that Toby was dying and all the medicine he was taking just could not help him. He told us Toby's time was up. I know this was extremely difficult to tell us. Do not hesitate - Dr. Morris saved my first child's life. While traveling through LA, Baby, my Great Dane came down with bloat. By luck i was given the practice emergency number. Dr. Morris did an emergency surgery at midnight then nursed her back to health over the weekend before discharge - she is snuggled on the couch next to me as I type. Based upon on-going personal experience, it is my POV that Dr. Chris Morris runs an excellent shop, to include top notch vet. med. practices, in clinic & in addressing post appt. follow up himself and/or by friendly, courteous and helpful staff. Dr. Morris takes the time to do indicated "necessary" diagnostics and just as important, explain conditions and treatment options -- all in layman's terms the wife and I can relate to. Thanks to Dr. M, we "still have" an older Persian cat where by he properly diagnosed a rather serious issue, when two other NOLA vets missed the condition. Ditto concerning an issue with one of our Rottweilers. While we do not live in Rayville, when visiting try to make it a point have Dr. M do any pending follow up or annual check-ups if anywhere close to due dates.
