Dr. Ernest Martin is hands down the BEST psychiatrist you will find in Anderson, SC. I live out of…read morestate and came to Anderson because my brother was in a serious mental health spiral. I live out of state, but I knew there was something special about Dr. Martin. The staff was outstanding from beginning to end. They were extremely professional, responsive and friendly. I have the highest regard for Dr. Martin. Not only is he an absolutely brilliant clinician, he listens and is incredibly empathetic and kind. He has a profound understanding of mental illness. After years of trying to help my brother with a variety of pharmaceutical, in patient and outpatient therapy, my family was hopeless. He was unresponsive to medication. As it turns out, my brother had been misdiagnosed for more than a decade. Dr. Martin changed everything; my brothers life and our family's life has been transformed. After meeting Dr. Martin I knew he was doing something special. My brother has made significant progress under Dr. Martin's care and is now on his way to living a happy and healthy life. My advice (to anyone struggling with depression, bipolar, anxiety, addiction, psychosis, cPTSD) is to meet with Dr. Martin and ask him, as I did; a million questions. What you'll likely be met with is: answers, understanding, professionalism, care, a specific care plan.
