In the process of selling I spoke to many other estate agents in the area and had mixed experiences with all of them. I dealt with James from start to finish, he always kept me informed of any progress, chased up our buyer and found me the house we are living in now! Despite having a very decent deposit we struggled to get a mortgage through our bank and other lenders due to a small settled default and the fact that I'm self-employed and didn't have the required 3-years accounts or address history. After trying another mortgage advisor - several weeks wasted, same result - we contacted We Know Mortgages with little hope of a positive outcome. Ansar and his team were incredibly helpful and the advice they gave us was precious to say the least. They found us a good deal with a more flexible high street lender - at a much lower interest rate and with no upfront fees! They clearly know their market very well and we can't thank them enough. Lancasters hasn't been going that long -- less than the 10 years I've lived here, I would say -- but it has already established an excellent reputation, particularly towards the Horwich end of town. The staff are friendly and helpful, and they take a real pride in their customer service. I know people who have sold their house through them -- one couple quite recently, which is an achievement in the current housing market -- and they speak highly of Lancasters too. If we were to sell our house we would probably go with Lancasters, which I suppose must be about the best recommendation anyone can give.
