We opted for a white, as it was hot out, and we had just come from a grueling hike, and it was tasty and refreshing. They also had a wine slushy machine, and the white blend is DANGEROUS. It's like a wine-y frozen lemonade of deliciousness. Careful, they sneak up on you! The interior of the building is also super cool, with a bunch of vintage cars, and the restrooms were spotless. The new location is nice as you can walk around and shop the shops then have a glass of wine or do a tasting. There is a small outside patio with a propane fire pit and it makes for a nice outside area to sit - not scenic like a winery typically is, but nice all the same. Chris Daniel's mother provided lots of information about the wines we tasted and the history of their winery. It's located only a few minutes off of I90, which makes it an easy decision for a side trip. Finally, all 13 wines we tried were great. We joined their club and took home 7 bottles of wine. Not much available for food, except for a few snacks, meat & cheese packet and small bags of chips. The very reasonably priced $10 tasting is free if you buy a bottle and I'd expect you will. Located in downtown Quincy, Errant Cellars has a tasting room with a front patio area. My friend and I checked in at the tasting room and were told that we could pick a spot outside where the friendly employee followed us out with glasses and the wine menu. We were told that we could try the wines that had a dot by them, which included two whites, a rose and two reds, so we tried all of them. The whites were super sweet, which I was not a fan of. Rose was average. And the two reds were lighter than what I normally drink. After the tasting our server checked in with us and mentioned that if she had a bottle open of something that wasn't dotted to try, we could try it. That was really nice of her. I ended up trying the cabernet sauvignon, which is what I bought a bottle of. It was solid. They had a decent amount of reds on the menu, but a lot of them were unavailable to try. I think if I had tasted more of their reds, I'd be a bigger fan of Errant Cellars.
