I have had difficulty getting appointments for my pets. They send me reminders for yearly exams, and when I promptly respond I'm told that they are totally booked until a month or more after they are supposed to be seen. This is the case more often than not. In my opinion, they care more about profits than the care of their patients. They have a very limited number of vets working on a daily basis, yet they keep taking new patients. I recently had a dog that was to undergo surgery. I took her into the clinic for her pre surgery evaluation on a Wednesday, and I was told she would be able to handle the procedure. Immediately after that appointment she began showing signs of labored breathing. The vet was made aware of the condition and told me to take my dog off of the medication that had been prescribed and check back with her on Monday. My dog had to be put down by another vet at the clinic on that Monday, because the original vet wasn't working. It's been nearly two weeks since she died, and I still haven't heard from the original vet. Needless to say, I have lots of unanswered questions.

Dr Paul was just as kind, calm and precise. That issue was vertigo. He diagnosed and treated it in one visit. I left KVC because of their location. However, I trust their experience and knowledge. I suspect I will be returning there for the rest of my veterinary needs. The knowledge and experience is worth the drive. I hope neither Doc ever retires.

Yes, you need to fill out and agree to some information and of course to wait. And yes, it was VERY hard to not be with her while they exmained and treated her but having worked in the field before, I know the importance of focusing on the patient and not the pet parent during an emergency. In the end, my girl was okay to go home, I was kept informed and everything was explained well to me. I had to drive and hour and half for care and I am glad this place exists.

Then when we got there we brought what our cat threw up in a bag and told front desk he was poisoned. They took our cat and left us in waiting room for 2 hours before bringing us in the back. They kept him from us in pain and did nothing except put him in a dark room alone crying in pain and never even looked inside his pet carrier. They told us that he was still in terrible pain and crying and weak and they weren't doing anything about the poisoning but would do bloodwork and a urine test if we signed paperwork and gave them $1700.We signed and gave them the money and they came back for more money if we wanted him to stay overnight and finally get an IV. We wanted to see him and they gave us 4 prescriptions for various medications and a prescription for their special dry cat food and sent us home saying he had a slight urinary infection and was possibly pre diabetic. Ozzy died shortly after we got home before we could give him anything. We brought him in after he threw up and was foaming at the mouth crying in pain. They never tried to help him by flushing system with IV or giving him something for pain. They are terrible people. Ozzy baby was a beautiful young 5 year old Domestic Russian Blue who was so loved and loving. He never did anything wrong and didn't deserve how he was treated. Please if you love your pet don't go there and tell others about White Snake Root because it's everywhere. It toxic to animals and people.

I think the faculty looks so nice, I decided to try again. The second time, was also Friday- Sunday. I reviewed with the check in girl , for my dog to be fed 3 times a day, he also had printed instructions in his backpack. Plus his food has instructions printed on it. I even called on Saturday to see if they had questions. I picked him up on Sunday evening and he was returned with all of his Sunday food. they hadn't fed him since the night before... they only fed him once at night.. all of his food. They need a better or any kind of system to feed these dogs, or I have been extra unlucky twice.

I called and spoke with Jose the next morning and he totally lied to me saying it was a GPS tracker. Its was NOT a GPS collar at all. It is a very well used and worn Garmin Barklimiter 2. I have signed a contract with them and nowhere in the contract does it say anything at all about them using a shock collar. My dog was there for boarding, not training. My dog is very well behaved and very rarely barks. So i was and atill am very upset this happened and i never received the truth from Jose or an apology.​ So happy dog day today and please be careful where you take your dog. Dogs are not treated well at Newdogday. I still have the shock collar but unable to post pics on this review.
