The hotel is very clean and well kept. The location is behind a Cracker Barrel restaurant and a circle k gas stay. The gas prices in Texas are amazing. We filled up for $2.43 a gallon, wow!

The room is spacious with refrigerator, Keurig, and couch in front of the tv. There's whirlpool adjacent to the gym. The water was warm. The gym has two treadmills, two ellipticals, and one stationary bike. It has two sets of dumbbells. One set was missing three dumbbells. There is water and also some towels. What is needed is sanitizing wipes. You can get free omelette and waffle at the bistro. The hours are displayed on the counter. You can customize your omelette. You pick the filling on a piece of paper provided then give it to the person who makes it. Don't waste your money at Starbucks. I ordered decaf cappuccino and I didn't taste the coffee at all. Make sure you check out the back part of the hotel. It has a grill with some seats to have a barbecue party. Also, there's a fire pit for a small gathering in colder weather. The small sectional area by the bistro has a small tv for each. It's perfect for a small family hangout.

Spoke w the front desk & was told "oh those are just water bugs" then was offered a new room. Appreciated the gesture & kind service since I was NOT about to spend the whole night in a room with who knows how many more members from the colony. I had already met 2 in just 2 hours... Moved rooms to 4th floor & was overpowered with the unbearable smell of chemicals masking mustiness. Was given a new room & the smell was so bad but just opened the window & tried to stick it out. 2 days later I thought I left an item in the former roach room from before. I was kindly allowed to go check the room but was appalled to find out from staff that someone had checked into the roach room THAT NIGHT! So did they just squash the roaches & make the beds? How is anything less than 24hrs enough time to exterminate? So appalled to think what other horrors this hotel just sweeps under the rug...quite literally.

Unfortunately, the second room also had bugs, which made the situation even more concerning. At that point, it no longer felt like an isolated issue, but a larger cleanliness and sanitation problem. The overall condition of the rooms was also poor. The walls looked patched or taped up, the sink plumbing was backed up, and the room did not feel clean or well maintained. For a brand like Hyatt, this was far below the standard I expected. What made the experience even more frustrating was the lack of follow-through. After I contacted the hotel manager, Tiffany called me and said 10,000 points would be issued to my account because of the cockroach issue. Those points were never added, and I received no meaningful follow-up. The problems continued during the rest of my stay. On the second day, I was locked out of my room and had to return to the front desk to have my access reassigned. There was also a power outage that lasted nearly two hours, and because I was staying on the fifth floor, I had no elevator access during that time, which added even more inconvenience. I understand that not every issue is fully within a hotel's control, but this stay felt like one problem after another with no real resolution. Between the bugs, room condition, lockout, outage, and lack of follow-through, this was easily one of the worst hotel experiences I have had at a Hyatt property. I have stayed at many Hyatt locations over the years and have never experienced anything like this. I hope management takes these issues seriously, because this property is not meeting the standard guests would reasonably expect.

Appeared a part of the ladder had broken so the pool was drained for repairs. Floor in the bathroom had 12x12 tile squares that were broke. When you stood in front the seat it would move and pinch foot if not careful. Pillows were terrible, requested more and they absolutely hooked us up with about 6 more. Breakfast was normal complimentary ( waffles, eggs/omelets instant or frozen, pastries, juice, cereal, coffee). There's nothing within walking distance really or anything kid friendly close by. If you're an adult there straight for work it's alright but I wouldn't recommend for family or kid trip. AC was hit or miss, room stayed cool to medium, never froze us out and kept it on 68. Cable tv with no steaming options (paid nor free). Also did not have a dresser and the closet was very small.
