We always have a good stay here. Love being on what I would call the boardwalk along the lake. The hotel side of things was great however breakfast was ridiculously slow and mediocre. Took forever for anyone to acknowledge us, food took forever for an omelet and bacon and when it came out it was missing the potatoes. Granbury Texas was sort of a last minute destination for me over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend (2023). Against my will. So when I exhaustingly dragged myself in after a 12-hour drive (about 9PM), I quickly realized it would be worth it to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Grand. The front desk clerk welcomed me. A bit of a chatty Patty, but I made my way to the elevator since I already chose my room, checked in, and gained access to my room key. My room was mostly clean. I chose a nice sunrise view with the lake below. Parking was DIY, but free & in a well-lit lot. Not much riff raff occurs in this part of town. I recommend this hotel. Also, become a Hilton Honors member. My room rate came out to $172.38 for a Saturday night with a king-sized bed -- this after I applied points I had racked up from previous Hilton stays. read more

We have stayed at Hamptons every time we travel. This experience was disappointing. We are usually asked if we would like water to take to the room. I was given some, after I asked. We were only there for 2 nights and didn't really care about room being cleaned. However, the room was kind of cleaned. The bathroom was fine. The bed, however, looked like someone made it, slept in it and remade it poorly. The TV didn't work. We didn't even ask for help with this. Checking out was tricky - the front desk employee was not at her station for several minutes. When I asked for a printed receipt, apparently the printer was out of order. The TV didn't work. Next time we go to that part of TX we will stay somewhere else. read more

I'm not in Granbury often, but whenever I am I have stayed at this hotel and have always had excellent experiences. For starters their staff is fantastic. Savannah was incredibly helpful at assisting me both at check in and with modifying my reservation. Victoria was solid at checkout, and our waitress Madison was very friendly at our breakfast and made the meal more enjoyable for sure. The view of the room overlooking the water was also very pretty, so booking a room with a lakeside view is something to think about. Definitely recommend this hotel! read more

My husband and I decided to do a weekend getaway to Grandbury with our two dogs. We could not have been more pleased with the Hilton Garden Inn. The hotel is a little older and the AC units are loud, but the rooms are the perfect size and the hotel is great! It has a lovely, scenic boardwalk. It is a quick 1/2 mile walk to the town square. The restaurant has delicious food, and the staff is friendly. The dog fee was very reasonable, and our pups felt right at home. We would definitely stay here again! read more

We had nothing but problems with our convention at this hotel. 1) When trying to book in, we were repeatedly told there were no rooms or the room block couldn't be found. 2) The meeting room doors were constantly locked, so we had to get up, interrupting our speaker every time someone needed in. 3) No public wifi 4) Our meals were anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour late 5) One of the bartenders was exceptionally rude, complaining about our own members to us 6) we had to clear our own tables twice, including after our fancy dinner, when everything was left overnight and we had to clear it the next morning. 7) Our fancy dinner was inedible. The chicken couldn't be cut with a knife and fork. As we were leaving there was also a truck pumping out a grease tank or something from under the building and created a horrible smell throughout. Horrible stay. Will not return. Stayed 2 nights November 24 & 25th. Gold Hilton Member. Good News: - Pleasant view overlooking Lake Granbury. - Close to downtown with many boutique shops, restaurants and other activities. - Light free breakfast available or you can order hot, freshly cooked breakfast for an extra charge, - Was told the Hotel was about to undergo major room renovations, which ours certainly needed. Bad News: (1) I was deceived about our room by the front desk AND lied to by the General Manager (GM), Tracy Crow. After I checked in, I asked to speak to the GM in person or by telephone about our room. Was told I couldn't do so until the following Monday, which was after I would be checked out. The Front Desk Manager promised that the the GM, Tracy, would call me on Monday. Didn't happen until after I made repeated calls and left messages after the "promised Monday". When I finally spoke to Tracy she was initially quite defensive and then heard me out. She PROMISED to call me back or email me after investigating AND to provide a reasonable credit of Hilton points. I gave Tracy over a week. Left 2 more messages. To date, 5 weeks after our stay, I have still NOT heard from Tracy. Have NOT received any point credits she promised. (2) Room - The problem was they gave us a handicapped room and did not tell us. The shower area drains directly into the middle of the bathroom, making it very slippery & dangerous. I am acutely aware of this since I have fallen in a similar hotel bathroom (not a Hilton) and hit my head and injured my back. We elected not to shower during our 2-day stay. In addition, the sitting area of the room was very dark, one low, round, overhead light and a small desk light. So dark, we turned on the TV for extra light. Well this was unfortunate. Of all things, there were events happening in the area which jacked up all the prices. We paid at least double for our rooms and unfortunately they weren't as clean as I would've hoped. Could not even take a bath as the tub had hair all in it. Yep GROSS. I've stayed here a few times and I can say that the location and lake view are the only perks to staying here. This time around, we checked into our room and the comforters were dirty and covered in hair. The bathroom had not been cleaned and the floors clearly had not been vacuumed in a while. We found floss, bits of trash, clipped nails, etc. on the carpets. The furniture was all very dusty as well. We called downstairs and they upgraded us to a lake view room that really wasn't any cleaner. Pink mold and hair in the tub, hair on the towels, carpets again not vacuumed, the furniture is dusty and the paint is literally peeling off of the bathroom door. Just very disappointing. The breakfast plan for two people is $30 and not worth a single penny. Rubbery meat, dirty dishes, grounds in the coffee and watching the staff go around "cleaning" and waiting tables was alarming. The server took our water glasses and another table's water glasses in one trip to refill and brought them back with no indication as to whose glass was whose. Just gross. I will not be staying here again and would highly advise against eating the hotel breakfast. read more

We enjoyed our stay over spring break. The hotel is right on the lake with the city beach adjacent to the parking lot. Also a city park across the street. Downtown square is a short walk (uphill) with multiple food and dessert options. He never stands still, greets every customer, follows up with everyone to ensure they are happy. Makes it a pleasure to eat there. We ate in the restaurant for dinner on Saturday night. I had the salad with chicken, she had an excellent burger. much better than we expected. Housekeeping ladies are hardworking sweethearts. Very nice place to stay! Check in was very easy and the receptionist was courteous. Bed was very comfortable and the room was clean.

This Hilton property knows how to roll out the red carpet! The rooms were nice, beds comfy and gorgeous lake view. What made it even better was the staff. In every service capacity the staff was warm, helpful and friendly. They made it their business to make our visit perfect. Although we were there without our dogs, we loved seeing a group of very well mannered Cavalier King Charles Spaniels that were there for an event. It's refreshing to see such a large gathering of responsible pet owners that obviously love their dogs. That says a lot for this group and that this hotel accommodated their needs. We will be sure to come back and stay here again when in the area. read more

Stayed here for two days during the week. We chose the lake view as apposed to the town view. Well worth the upgrade in my opinion. The room was clean as you would expect from Hilton. Staff was extremely nice and helpful. The location could not get any better. Right on the lake just minutes away from anything you could possibly want to eat. My only cons would be that the rooms definitely need to be refurnished and need new sheets/ covers which felt a bit like sand paper. On top of that the internet was down for half my half my stay. I booked a room at the Hilton Garden Inn Granbury Texas. I made the reservation on 10/28/21 for 10/30/21. Unfortunately I didn't check my email on 10/29/21 stating I had been charged for not showing up on 10/28/21. The desk clerk informed me of this when I went to check in. There were several people in the same situation and we all had to pay a higher rate for the same room we booked earlier. Nobody at Hilton wants admit there could be a problem with their website. At first glance, this truly looked like a resort. The lobby, I heard, was getting updated. It had a sort of old world, rustic look. Now the best part, my room was awesome! It was so long and I really felt comfortable. I had an awesome view of the water right outside of my window. The front desk and kitchen staff were so helpful. The breakfast buffet was decent. Check-in and check-out went very smoothly. The hotel is very nice. It sits on the water and has a full service restaurant attached. The lobby is furnished with comfortable seats and a fireplace which was perfect for this cold, rainy weekend. Our room was large, comfortable and clean. We had a beautiful view of the lake and free wi-fi. Although the room was located near the elevator it was well insulated so we didn't hear a beep or closing/shutting of elevator doors. The Good: It is on the river, has a little beach adjoining the property, access to a boardwalk, walkability into town. About half of the rooms have river views which are nice and are worth the extra bit of cash or they are if you like nature. If you hate nature then save yourself a little bit of money and get the parking lot view. The Bad: The staff isn't going to win Grandbury's local humanitarian awards. We got there a hour before check-in and our room wasn't ready. No biggie, I was early and they were still cleaning. Cleaning is good. So, my kid and I sat down to figure out what were going to do until the room was ready. Not five minutes later and Grumpy Pants behind the desk asks us if were are customers and informs us that the lobby is for customers. Confounding given I had just talked to them just minutes ago and was the only person in the place. I told Fussy Britches I was a customer and was treated to a complementary questioning to prove I was. Like asking my room number..... because I was clearly going to have one of those when you told me I couldn't check in? So, the hotel is nice enough and could justify the pricing if not for the staff. I would have canceled on the spot if I could have done so without losing money but I tend to find these kinds of experiences really taxing. If you are up for dealing with not so Oscar the Grouch inspired staff then I'd say stay and just use the side doors. P.S. Ask for a room on the second floor or above. We stay here once or twice year because we have family that lives in Granbury. However, we will never stay at this hotel again. In the last year, it has really gone down hill. Cleanliness, breakfast, and staff are all examples of this. In the middle of our stay here, we had to switch rooms because the room's a/c was on constantly at 78 degrees. My husband called the front desk and the lady told him that all the rooms were like that. We talked to other guests in the elevator and they told us they're room was at 70 degrees! So after being lied to by the front desk, we were finally able to switch rooms in the middle of the night. Last but not least, we had our samsung tablet stolen out of our room. My son watches a show on there in the morning while we get ready. We NEVER took it out of the room while we were there. We were out all day and tired so we didn't notice until the next day that it was gone. All the front desk could do was ask the head of housekeeping. Again, this beautiful hotel on the lake is going down hill and fast! read more

So I was recently in Granbury Texas for a week for work and stayed at this hotel. This was by far the BEST hotel I have stayed at for a long time. The staff was very nice and friendly. My room was nice and clean every evening when I got back to the room. It was quiet which was great so I could sleep! I had an incident with dinner one night. I went downstairs and complained and asked for a refund. Instead I met with the chef and he told me to ask for him any night I was there and he would take care of me. I was a little hesitant since I was not happy with that meal, why would any other be different? So I went downstairs I think on my third night and asked for Jack (the chef). He smiled and said "I remember you! What can I get you?" I told him what I would like. He asked if I would like a salad as well. I told him no that it would be more than I spent - he did not care, he wanted to take care of me and make sure I was happy. And by God he did! I di not have time to find management to let them know what a great employee they have in him, but I will write a letter to them! Thank you Jack!! The thing that stopped me from giving them 5 stars would be the "new beds". They are the dial by firmness thing. Once you lay for about 10 minutes it forms to your body. But if you turn over you have to pull yourself out of a hole your body made! So I kept rolling back into the hole! and the feather pillows - NO! bring back the foam ones! they are more comfortable. But the lake views are beautiful! Go for a walking tour of your own in the square and enjoy the variety of shops! read more
