There was a sign explaining their kitchen is undergoing renovations but they will have options in the morning. Our beds were fine, a bit firm, fluffy pillows. Same weird smell but you get nose blind. I how they have liquid hands soaps and sls free shampoos and soaps. The rooms aren't made every day but every few days. Water pressure was fine.

Parking is easy and well-lit, and on some days I was able to park in view of my room. Two small suggestions to improve: add fruit to the breakfast, and redesign the shower entry. (It is designed such that you have to step all the way in to turn it on, which means it's hard to avoid getting hit with some cold water at first.) I'd had a bad experience with another hotel in Kingsville, so TownePlace Suites will now be my go-to!

When I asked to GM to offer some flexibility she refused saying they were sold out, which in turn means you can resell the room. I asked who else I could speak to and she referred me to Marriot corporate but no other information. It's unfortunate she offered no flexibility to a loyal customer who is at her hotel often. This may be a Marriot policy but she's the GM and has the autonomy to provide good customer service.

Room 339 smelled like the mngt had sprayed some kind of cologne in the A/C to mask another odor that was in the room. It was hard to sleep with the odor and management wouldn't change our room. There was dust/dirt/paper scraps all over the hotel in the stairwells, hallways, elevator and rooms. Dirt built up in the corners and sides of the stairways and public areas where a vacuum couldn't reach. Stains all over the carpets in public areas. Hair dryer mount was broken so it had to be laid on the counter. There was no second roll of toilet paper in the room. Stains on "clean" towels. Toilet seat did not fit the size of the bowl and was not a "soft close" seat. It was too short and we would have to touch the rim of the exposed bowl to lift the lid. Dead bolt on the door did not work. It was fixed and not movable. We could not get the TV to work so we reported it to one of the managers at the desk. He said he would have it checked and when we got back, he was surly and said the "TV works." The problem was, the TV is not usable without the remote and the remote itself was faulty. We finally figured out that the remote "off" button turned the TV on and off. The "on" button did not work. The "Guide" button did not work. Room 212 - There was a nasty stain on a foot stool. Since pets are not allowed, I could only assume it was human. No second roll of toilet paper in the room. Shampoo dispenser mount was broken and had to be laid on the tub surround. There was dust and unclean surfaces. Caulking in the bathroom looked like a 6 year old kid put it on. Same for room 339. Overall - If the staff were friendly, a lot of this stuff would be forgivable but they were cold and seemed put out of their way to be called out to the front desk from the back to answer questions for us. Doors around the hotel, were left open which could cause security issues. The breakfast at 8:30 a.m. only had a few scraps of cooked potatoes left and no one was tending it. There were only 2 warmers. One with potato scraps, the other looked like it could have been powdered eggs. Not sure. There was an open sewage line in the rear of the hotel (outside the dining room) that had toilet paper that had poured out with whatever contents there were with it. Finally, there is a saltwater tank in the foyer of the hotel that had beautiful clown fish playing in sea anemones when we arrived. When we left, the clown fish were gone.

This one wasn't bad, but some of the others were a little nicer. There were a couple of other places to stay in Kingsville, but we picked this one. It was alright but just really wasn't up there with some of the others were stayed at. My wife made mention of this to the frontdesk on check out!! So hopefully they will get some of these items corrected, she thought they just weren't that clean! Me on the other hand really find anything wrong. I'd stay here again!!!
