This place is a really solid choice for your Corpus stay. The hotel itself is not close to the boardwalk though, so make sure you rent a car to check that out. There's a pool that smells strongly of chlorine, a small gym to workout, a continental breakfast (eggs, bacon, oatmeal with fixings, waffles, oranges, bananas, yogurt, milk, etc), and clean rooms. The staff is friendly and the check in/out process a breeze. Highly recommend for a practical stay. read more

I just wanna start off with saying that you get what you get in Corpus. This is not a bad thing to say it's just not a big tourist location. We come here for fishing and to see family. Where this hotel is, there are a strip of hotels, and they are all similar priced. If you are a Marriott member and you want to stay at a Marriott. You only have a few options and out of the options of the places that we stayed at I would recommend this hotel. The staff welcomed us and the hotel room for this star rating of a hotel was nice. The breakfast is minimal but clean area and there is a hotel bar if you're coming to Corpus what more could you ask for? We have previously stayed at the Fairfield a few minutes away, and this one was nicer than that one. read more

My hotel experience was near perfection. The room was super comfortable and spacious. It came with 2 full size beds and a couch that included a trundle, so theoretically I could have slept 6 people comfortably. The indoor pool was bigger than expected and they had poolside towels available. The water was obviously chlorinated but not so much that it gave me a headache like most other indoor pools I have experienced. The breakfast was pretty good. They had eggs, sausage, bacon, bagels with toaster, Texas-shaped waffles, Activia yogurt, cereal, milk, orange and apple juice, hot coffee, etc. The one downside was they ran out of waffle batter on a Sunday morning about 30 minutes before breakfast time was over. The service was great! I didn't have too many asks, but for the few instances I needed something, the front desk was nice and prompt with their response. Kudos to Management and Staff for your quality hospitality. Lastly, I was able to charge my Tesla overnight which saved me time. The charging cable looked pretty beat up, though. Stayed the night this past Saturday. They had a broken water heater. No shower! They offered 5,000 loyalty points for the inconvenience. I used to work in hotels. We would have offered to move the reservation to another Marriott hotel. Marriott has gone down hill. read more

I had a reservation and made a mobile check-in as suggested by Marriott in advance. The process had worked for me many times before. Unfortunately, I ran into an extremely rude clerk. She lived in "digital dark" age and believed a check-in using the phone was an outrage. My suspicion was that racial bias also played a factor. My call to Marriott central also encountered an untrained "associate " who did not understand company policy. Fortunately, my request to speak to a supervisor paid off. I demanded to cancel the reservation and I moved to a different hotel. Anyone with a reasonable mind should stay away from this place. read more

Easy check in. Beautiful room. Clean. Comfy pillows and bed. Easily heard noises next door however and due to our room being at end of hall by parking lot we heard people banging in abd out of those doors at 630. Free breakfast which was decent eggs, bacon, waffles, yogurt, cereal fruit, oatmeal, bagels, coffee , juice and tea. Be aware that the glass slider door for bathroom is cute but if your partner goes to bathroom at midnight the light will blind you. read more

Very nice place with nice employees, very welcoming. In the morning Ms.linda in the breaks-fast time was very welcoming by telling everyone good morning. Continuously bringing hot food to the trays. Waffle makers, egg and ham, juices and coffee. We've learned that sometimes is better to pay an extra 20-40dlls to get a better service and a clean place after 2 bad experiences when visiting Corpus cHristy, and this place has become our favorite. We went to a renewed La Quinta and had a bad experience last time, so this is our place to go. Everything smells clean, customer service has being great to us, I mean, who doesn't like to be treated with atention and respect. This is your place to stay for an affordable price read more

Visited this Corpus and stayed here for a couple of days. From check in to checking out the staff was great! The hotel is nice, has a nice little bar downstairs with with some outside seating and just a nice hotel overall. Perfectly situated close to the mall, many eateries and has good comfortable beds and great cleanliness. Will stay at this hotel next time when I'm in the corpus area. read more

My family and I travel frequently and this was by far one of the worst hotel experiences that we have ever had. We booked a room for 2 queen beds. When we arrived we sat our bags down and did not inspect the room. Upon retiring to the room we began to give our small children a bath. When we removed the towel we noticed a pill on the shelf. (see pictures) We than began to further inspect the room. There were stains on the couch and blood stains on the carpet. This room was clearly not cleaned. During a pandemic cleaning and sterilizing rooms should be a high priority. The level of "clean" that this room was not acceptable even if we were not in a pandemic. My husband went down stairs while I packed up our stuff and kept my 3 small kids away from blood and other potential risk factors in this room. The hotel did not have any other rooms available. The front desk attempted to notify the general manager but apparently he was to busy to take the call because he does not work on Saturday nights. (He told us this via email) We ended up in room with a king sized bed and a pull out couch. This forced half of us to sleep on an uncomfortable pull out couch. We did not leave because it was late in the evening and our children were very tired. The lady at the front desk gave my husband a Dr Pepper and candy as an apology. My husband went to the front desk to check out that morning. The general manager was not helpful and my husband had to ask him how he was going to make it right. After leaving a bad review on a survey that was sent to me the general managers response was appalling. My husband should not have to ask for someone to make a situation right. This should have been offered from the start. This hotel put the health and safety of my family at risk. They did give us a discount. In the email from the GM the manager has lied about his response to my husband. My husband recorded the conversation and has proof that what he said verbally and this email do not match. If o could upload the audio here, I would. Social distancing and wearing masks was not enforced. We saw people in the lobby and halls without masks on. My last business trip I stayed in a hotel and we were only allowed to use the elevator with family. There were no rules stating that. you obviously can not stay 6 feet apart from someone in an elevator. I ended up using the stairs so that I could avoid that mess. This hotel clearly does not care about the health or safety of their guests. Avoid this hotel if you expect decent customer service or a clean room. read more

I stayed here for my family vacation this past summer. I thought I reviewed it on Yelp but I just realized that I didn't. I stayed at one of these in Allen, TX. So when my wife asked me why the Springhill Marriott, I told it was nice stay. The location of this place was great for us. Probably one of the nicest places in Corpus Christi alone. Sorry we weren't too amazed with the city of Corpus. This place made up for it many ways. The many ways indeed involved my wife and I enjoying happy hour while we were able to watch our kids swim and enjoy themselves too. The breakfast in the mornings is amazing. So many choices to choose from with unlimited great coffee to drink and juices. All the staff asks everything is going great for you. The staff is super over all and they come to work with smiles on there faces because they are happy to be there. You don't see that too often these days. The leadership/management is doing something right here people. Rooms were overall very quiet. Not too much noise other than our kids being kids. Never received any complaints from anyone staying around us so that tells you how sound proof the walls are. LoL The facility over all is well kept and very clean. They have an in door gym and an indoor swimming pool. Bath room locations close by both of them. Easy access to carts when arrive and are preparing to leave! They offer government/military discount rates! That is a plus in my book being a veteran. read more

Let's start out with the obvious, this location is poorly managed and I PROMISE YOU I WILL NOT RETURN!! At one of the hardest time a family can go through, this hotel found it okay to over charge and add additional charges to my bill without my authorization. I am a Platinum status rewards member and stay at every SPG or Marriott properties I can during my travels. I arrived early on Oct 4th (Friday), approximately around 7am. I did however call and direct messages the hotel about my early check in. The night auditor/front desk person at time confirmed I could check in early; 1) considering the circumstances 2) my status 3) she already turned over the night audit to the next day Mind you, I have this in writing and also backed it up verbally. This is just the check in. On the morning of Saturday October 5th, I checked out of the hotel around 11:30am, I went downstairs and checked out with another young lady at the front desk. My original booking I booked for two nights. I asked her, "I will not be charged for the other night correct?" She stated no. After all this, not only was I charged for the additional night I was there but there was also a $52.00 charge and no one knows why. I called and spoke to the GM, he stated give him two weeks to review the video footage. First, I let it go this guy just called me a liar. Second, it doesn't take two weeks to review footage to check out what I said was true. I just provided you with all the info to go back and check it. Let me remind you still to this day, 2-3 weeks later, I still haven't heard from the idiot. Fire this GM please and if he's the franchisee to this location, I advise Marriott to NOT continue their relationship with this franchisee. I'll buy out his property if I have to!!! So after losing a dear family MEMEBER the morning of Saturday the 5th of Oct. this is what we have to deal with. Trust and believe, I'll fight this in court and already have things in processes. Absolutely the worst!!! Don't stay here and do your family and yourself a favor, go next door to the Embassy Suites!! I'll pay for your first night NOT to stay at this property!!! read more

Our first impression from the outside was very contemporary look, has 2 automatic doors into the lobby to keep the heat out along with outdoor covering when pulling your vehicle up. Nice touch from the rain or heat. Lobby too has the contemporary look. The front desk girl stop what she was unpacking & attended to us to check. Rooms are great, spacious has 2 double queen beds and sofa bed too along with walk in closet & lovely decor bath. Would stay here again or recommend anyone needed a place to go. read more

This was a super comfortable 1-night stay! I booked with points and got in around 11pm after a long day on the road. The first thing my wife noticed was all of the complimentary chupa chups lollipops at the front desk. She hasn't seen those since she was a kid and was instantly transplanted to child hood and was super excited :)! The room itself was spacious, comfortable and clean with a nice bed, a little bit of a hallway with a table leading into it and a clean bathroom with an incredible shower with clear glass doors. That shower was fantastic after being on the road for a few days and the water pressure was great. The hotel had free breakfast as well and it was decent -- typical of what you'd expect from free complimentary breakfast. I do remember the sausages being particularly delicious. The hotel itself is a bit away from the beaches (about a 20 minute drive), but if you're looking for a very comfortable place to sleep; I'd definitely recommend it! read more

Stayed here for almost a month! Super over the top friendly staff. Hotel is always clean and there is a free food night once a week (the day varies). The bar is open 5-11 Monday to Saturday. Weekends usually find the hotel full and you get a lot of folks that do not have hotel etiquette like the (mostly men) that travel a lot for a living. My room was always clean or, when I posted the do not disturb, was left alone. Rooms come with a fridge and microwave for those nights you want left overs. There is a small pool and a pretty good, but small, gym too. Hot breakfast served daily from 6-10. The mix it up some but mainly it's the same thing every day. Good though! Great place to stay and close to plenty of good eats! read more

This hotel was comfortable, clean, and very convenient. The King suite was very spacious and perfect for my stay. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. The lobby had lots of seating both indoors and on the patio. They also have a full bar with daily Happy Hour and top shelf liquor. Anytime I am in Corpus Christi for work I enjoy staying at this location. The hotel is very clean and they do offer a continental breakfast in the morning. Monday through Wednesday they do have customer appreciation happy hour or you can get beer and wine on the house. This location has a small workout facility as well. There is plenty of parking and the air conditioner / heating Works in this hotel. Overall the prices are fairly reasonable compared to other hotels in the area. The location is very convenient as many of the local restaurants Mall Etc are relatively close. If you do plan on making a trip to the island it is about a 15-minute drive to get to the bridge and over. read more

Was a very nice hotel . We enjoyed the inside pool since it was heated well it was more like that weird in between temperature like when it's time to get out of the tub. The room was a nice size with a desk and fold out couch. Tho my kids and myself were awaken by the neighbors loudly getting it on around 1am tho I woke up later around almost 3 am when the next round had started then again in the morning the walls are very thin and it was very unnerving especially for the kids. You run this risk at most hotels but it's still irritating only reason I gave 4 stars because it did interrupt our stay ... Breakfast was good all the employees were very friendly. read more

Had a salt water pool but did not get to experience it because a kid put detergent in the pool wanting to make bubbles. By the time we wanted to swim--pool was closed to be cleaned. I love snagging out of town ftrs! I was planning a last minute trip so it's always best to use points if possible. I was able to get this spot using my marriott points. This particular hotel has only been open 2 months so it still smells new. It's a great hotel close to the beaches and right off the freeway. Free breakfast for everyone. If I could give then zero stars I would. The front desk manager was nothing short of condescending and rude upon my first time through when she notified me that the hotel room wasn't ready. When I came back I had a problem with y reservation- it was 100$ more than I had reserved it for. The managers on duty were rude, unfriendly and unkind. Frankly, I'm going to say that I think they were bigoted and homophobic. I cancelled my reservation and even after the giant ordeal I wished them a good day and the staff ignored me. I worked at the Marriot for two years in Austin. I knew what the protocol should and could have been and no reasonable accommodation was made and no kindness was bestowed. This was ridiculous. If you are lgbt I don't recommend checking in to this or any Marriot hotel. read more

The hotel is exceptionally clean and provides free continental breakfast, fruit, and strawberry infused water during the afternoon in the lobby. Don't bother asking the concierge for recommendations on where to visit, because he was scatterbrained in explaining directions and unclear on marking the map. First night staying here and I have been super impressed with the staff, the room design and space AND cleanliness. My room also has a full length mirror Which is supper helpful in the mornings. Weight room looks small and has been super crowded every time I passed by.... They also have a really nice bar that was also crowded and looked like people were having a great time. The hotel has guest appreciation, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 5 to 6:30 PM they serve free draft beer and wine and I also have a little appetizer to snack on. I recommend staying here! Unusually for Marriot hotels, this hotel had cockroaches... A large amount of them. My family and I have found dead cockroaches the first days of our "dream vacation." The night we slept in the hotel, cockroaches were scurrying inside out sheets. One even scurried into my mother's buttocks. Had a great room.....up to date.....clean, HUGE bathroom. Private working area.....sofa and nice TV. We did have 2 problems......but it was the guests....not the staff. Sabrina was a delight at check in......and when I called to complain about other guests at 11pm.....whoever answered the phone was understanding. It was St. Patrick's Day AND Spring Break.....place was full of kids and drunks. We had the 'pleasure' of having both next to us. As the parents drank.....they kicked their kids out to the hallway...right in front of my door! As I went to leave, I almost stepped on one of them! In the morning we were not able to have breakfast due to crowded lobby. The reason I gave this place 5 stars is that, Lori the MGR, took ownership of all the troubles and made it right! The food service lady in the morning is outstanding! The housekeepers are great. The rooms were clean, the food was good. The bartender girl was polite and helpful. We just checked out after 3 nights, 4 days for thanksgiving weekend. Our only concern and complaint was the noise from the nightclub across the hiway. At night on weekends if your trying to sleep get ready to hear the club and it's associated noise if your room is on that side of the building. Our concern, the night audit lady with her feet up sitting on the couch asleep on and off seemed not too concerned as we and others came and went. When asked a question she's unsure of what to do until the front desk manager comes in the next morning. Overall great stay, just a personnel issue up front. read more

This is a very nice, modern hotel on SPID where there isn't much that is nice or modern. Staff was great, everything was clean and fresh. The room was spacious. We were bummed that there was no hot tub and only a small indoor pool but that's not a big deal. The gym is tiny, just weights and a few cardio machines, but it's adequate for a trip. The views aren't pretty but who cares. It's definitely clean, comfortable and a great place to stay. read more

Hotel is very nice looking. Staff seemed friendly enough. Rooms were nice. I didn't like the sliding door to get into the bathroom. It squeaked not a good design for those resting in the middle of the night. The room got to cold when we ran the air. When we arrived we had half a roll of toilet paper in the room. The next morning when they cleaned still only had a little toilet paper. I ended up using the last of the toilet paper right before we left. Leaving guests with enough toilet paper must not be a priority at this hotel. Hopefully they filled it for the next guests. Our room smelled of beer. The carpet was wet with beer when we first entered the room. I stepped in it, glad I had bare feet and not socks on. Cleaning staff should have cleaned the room better before we arrived. I let the staff know so hopefully that beer gets cleaned for the next guests. The breakfast was some of the worse I've ever had at a hotel. Coffee tasted weak. Breakfast sausage was cold. Scrambled eggs were not edible. They were so wet and cold. The next day we ended up eating at Cracker Barrel. So much for a free breakfast. Yes it was that bad. I'd rather not eat than eat the nasty breakfast this hotel provides. If I'm ever in the area I'm thinking I'll pick a different hotel. read more

Made a trip with the family to the beach and is the first visit to Corpus Christi and decided to stay at this Springhill by Marriott since I am familiar with the chain. We easily checked in at around 1pm and our room was ready. This hotel includes a full bar open from 4pm-11pm which is convenient so people don't have to leave the hotel property. The room is typically spacious everything seems new perhaps the hotel itself is new, 2 Queen bed suite includes 2 spacious queen beds and full clean bathroom with bath tub, beautiful sink and your typical toilet. The complementary breakfast buffet features eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal, yogurt, pastries, coffee, juice and fresh fruit. Overall a great stay, spacious suites, friendly and helpful staff, exceptional service, comfortable beds and excellent breakfast. I will definitely consider staying here on my next trip to Corpus Christi, great job Springhill Suites! read more
